Overview

The Tiny house at Casa Nola is a bohemian upscale glamping experience.
Located a mere 16 minutes from downtown Asheville, yet is a nature lovers retreat.
The Tiny house itself, is a small dwelling with a combined efficiency kitchen sitting area, outside compost toilet, queen memory foam loft bed, AC, and huge bohemian deck. At this time there is no shower! This is an ideal place for nature lovers looking to explore tiny house living, permaculture and all Asheville has to offer on a budget!

The tiny house was built with a lot of love and a bohemain flare in mind.
It is an upscale glamping experience with electricity, a super comfortable Queen sized memory foam bed encased in a mattress protector, small efficiency kitchen to prepare light meals and a huge outdoor deck and outdoor compostable flushing toilet.
There is no shower at this time, so please check back if this is a deal breaker for you, as we are in the process of configuring an outdoor shower.

We are always working on the landscape, but it is reasonably organic (read as wild!)- tons of berries, fruit trees, nut trees and grapes during the warmer months, which you are welcome to explore and pick! We hope to have this transformed by next year and are committed to organic permaculture.
We provide filtered gravity fed spring water in the kitchenette, which is some of the purest to drink and mineralize your body with. The sink is plumbed in, but there is no hot or running water besides the 5 gallon glass jug that sits atop the sink.

The tiny house is across from our art studio and up the hill from our main house and other airBnb 'The Cottage at Casa Nola, so if you are looking for complete seclusion this may not be the best spot for you, as you may occasionally glimpse one of our four or two legged children :) That being said, we have worked to create upmost privacy in the tiny house and it feels worlds away from anyone!

The entire property sits on 3 acres and is a mere 16 minute drive to downtown Asheville.

You might see us coming or going, as we are a busy family, however we deeply respect your privacy and we recognize the fact you may be here to get away and are as unobtrusive hosts as possible!
Our main house, cottage, tiny house and studio are all relatively close, but we’ve designed it for maximum privacy for all! That being said we are happy to help out with anything you might need, please just let us know, but otherwise we won’t bother you!

Please read house description and rules in its entirety, so you can decide if it’s a fit, as we want you to be comfortable and happy! We are a family with kids and dogs and live in a country setting, so be sure that is something you are ok with. There are country critters, bugs and wildlife here, so it is not uncommon to see wild turkeys, rabbits and an occasional bear. Although we deep clean in between guests, sometimes a bug gets in!

Any need for more than one car needs to be arranged beforehand as parking is limited. Please note in cases of fluke downpours or if we have an extreme rainy season, the grassy hill, which you must walk up to get to the tiny house could get a little muddy. It is advised to bring an extra pair of shoes!

The bed is a queen sized memory foam in a loft and requires climbing a very sturdy ladder, so please make sure you are agile enough to do this. The couch folds into a twin bed if need be, but is far less comfortable than the loft.

***PETS***
We are pet friendly and would like to remain that way, so we ask if you are bringing a pet, to be a responsible, rule abiding pet owner.
If you would like to bring your pet, please send us a request beforehand with pet breed, size and age along with acknowledgement that you have read pet rules.
We charge a non-refundable $50 pet fee per pet.
Pets CANNOT at any time be left unattended. We offer an additional low-fee pet sitting service, please contact us if you’d like more information as we have a separate site.
We ask that only well behaved, fully house trained, non-aggressive pets stay, so we can remain a pet friendly space for other people. Please do clean up after your pet. We do have our own dogs on the other side of the fence and kids, so please no animals that will be a problem for. There are some trails in the back of the property that can be walked as well as a long dirt road.
Please read full pet rules, in rules section.

We do our best to keep the tiny house stocked with housewares and extra goodies to make your stay more comfortable. If it is there, you are welcome to use it. There is an electric tea kettle, mini- fridge, hot plate and french press. It is fully stocked with dishware and pans along with coffee, tea and simple meal prep condiments.
The deck is absolutely huge and in general our property is amazing for star gazing! If you are inquiring about a longer term stay, let us know and we can discuss having you use the bathroom in our other airbnb for showering

There is a window fan in the top of the lofts to circulate air, a stand up AC in the warm months and small space heater in the colder months

We hope that you will love the space and the area as much as we do! We recently relocated here and it’s been the best decision ever! Great weather, food, art, fun and people!

We are proud to be LGBQ friendly and don’t discriminate based on race, gender or religion. The only thing we discriminate against are people who hurt children or animals, because hey-that’s not cool!

The entire tiny house and deck is all yours :)
Just please understand that this is an upscale glamping tiny house as described in 'The space listing'

We are a busy family and you may see or hear us come and go since our parking area is across from yours. Text is generally the fastest, best way to reach us. We deeply respect your privacy and will leave you be, but we are happy to engage if you have any questions or needs! You may occasionally meet one of our escapee dogs or children, despite a bark or curious look they are super friendly. We rent our cottage down the hill on here as well, so you might pass some other travelers along the way. You may also see one of us walking up the hill to use the studio, across from the tiny house.

We live in the country! Please note that means there are wild critters, butterflies, bees, bugs- you name it! They occasionally get inside the tiny house. If you hear a shrill scream, that would be me, finding a spider in our home! It is not uncommon to see bears, bunnies and a host of other wildlife.

Outside of Uber there is no public bus system here. There is a parking spot at the bottom of the hill right next to the shed for the tiny house. If for some reason you have two cars please let us know in advance and we will do our best to arrange our parking accordingly, but cannot guarantee more than one spot.

All pets must be pre-approved. If you have more than one car, we will need to know in advance.
If you are needing a late checkout that has to be approved beforehand.
If you have any issues while you are here please contact us ASAP. No pets are to be left unattended and we offer pet sitting services if you are out for the day/night and can’t take your four legged with you.
We also offer nutritional/holistic intuitive consults. Please contact us in advance for more information.

Please read description carefully, as this an upscale glamping experience with a comfy loft bed and flushing toilet! We want your stay to be awesome, so it is important to understand the space to decide if it is a fit for you. All info is listed in the binder in the Tiny House, but PLEASE note... House Rules **Please read the listing in its entirety** Welcome! We are thrilled that you’ve chosen to stay here! We all come from different backgrounds, cultures and places, and expectations vary. To get the most out of your stay, please take a few moments to read through the House Rules. We hate having to lay out rules as much as you hate having to follow them. So we've identified the things that are REALLY important to us, so please read them and be respectful of our needs so we can be great hosts for you. * Preparation, being Mindful * To help you prepare, here are a few tips to help enhance your experience with us. https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/article/695/how-can-i-be-a-considerate-guest * Communication * Should you have any questions regarding your booking please just drop us a message, we will try to respond within 24 hours, mostly it is within an hour. This is important to keep in mind when traveling to our place, for example from the airport. We do our best to accommodate quickly, but may not always be available immediately. * Plan Your Arrival * We are flexible on check in time, if you do have an idea what time you are arriving it is helpful for us to know. Please make sure you understand how to find the cottage and the lockbox code beforehand, if by rare chance your wireless carrier does not work! * Check - In and Identification * PROFILE PICTURE: Please upload a profile picture where we can identify you by sight. This is our only way of ensuring we let you in and not a stranger. Lucky for us, we have not had any strangers wander on to our property...but just in case On arrival: You might be asked to proof Your identity: Passport, ID. We might take photo of your ID or passport as security measures. Please be ensured we dispose those information after trip is over. The only acceptable form of identification is an official government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, that meets all of the requirements above. Student ID cards are not valid forms of identification. If you can't comply with our request we won't be able to accommodate your stay and proceed with the check in. Please mind that we give away keys to the cottage and we share with our guests our most private land. As for our experience ID check is the most reliable way to build trust. You might consider full authentication of your profile with valid ID: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/article/4/how-does-airbnb-help-build-trust-between-hosts-and-guests * Make Yourself at Home * NO ENTERTAINING: We are perfectly happy having people pop by to pick up our guests, but we would prefer that you not use the cottage to entertain them. ⦁ Please kindly take off Your shoes at the front door * Safety Is Our Priority * * Allergies * This is a pet friendly place. Although we try to keep it pristine, please note our accommodation is not suitable for guests with allergic reactions to animals. Therefore we advise you to take this under consideration when booking with us. * Guest Access * OVERNIGHT GUESTS: All overnight guests must be approved in advance through the booking process. Any guests not pre-approved will result in $150 fee. * SMOKING POLICY * No smoking is allowed inside the House at any time. If you are a smoker, please find different accommodations. * Bathroom * ⦁ Do not flush tampons or sanitary napkins, it is a compostable toilet. * Kitchen Use * COOKING: You are welcome to use glassware and dishes for anything you're cooking, just bring us some. Ok just kidding, but maybe not really. ***PETS*** We are pet friendly and would like to remain that way, so we ask if you are bringing a pet, to be a responsible, rule abiding pet owner. We are animals lovers, but due to not all people being responsible pet owners, we have to keep solid rules in place. If pets are left unattended, it will result in immediate cancellation of your reservation. Crating is ok, as long as it is communicated to us beforehand that you will be bringing one, as it is a small space and not all sized crates will fit. Please do not allow your pet on the furniture. We ask that only well behaved, fully house trained, non-aggressive pets stay, so we can remain a pet friendly space for other people.
