We had the pleasure of sharing this property with friends of ours and their kids. The house was so spacious and thoughtfully laid out where we all had our own space as well as plenty of room to socialize all together. Everything was very clean and well kept. There was a very well Equipped The hosts were great with communication and answered the few questions that we had. Checking into the property and checking out were quick and easy. The location of the property was 6min from Gunstock Mtn, and about 8min from Patrick’s Pub and and other necessities.

From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The house was immaculately clean and cozy as ever. The kitchen table was set up with a basket of goodies for our family to enjoy (which the kids dove into RIGHT away haha and Julie even included some personalized items for Mom & Dad based on some questions we had asked prior to check-in HOW SWEET IS THAT?!) We had a picture perfect view of the lake out of the gorgeous large windows both upstairs and down! Our family spent the week playing ping pong, fuse ball, connect 4, ice fishing, ice skating (they have all different size skates for you to use!), relaxing in the hot tub and cooking amazing family meals all together while watching the Bruins in the giant open concept kitchen/dining/livingroom. The house was perfect for our party of 7 and a dog! It even came with pup treats and leashes! There was nothing this house didn’t have. Our children are ages 3 months, 8, 10, 11 and 14 and they all had an absolute blast and there were lots of tears when it was time to leave (Parent win!) Julie was responsive to messages the entire time which was so helpful if we had any questions. She is a terrific hostess and we hope to book again for a summer getaway because they have endless things to enjoy for that season too! Don’t hesitate, book this getaway, you won’t regret it!

This was my wife and I's second stay on Back Lake, and the first at Northern Sunrise Cabin. Communication with the owner (Jackie) was excellent. The cabin is very spacious and handled our eight easily. The cabin was well equipped, and very clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles (we had three and a trailor). A large deck, half of witch is covered, with comfortable furniture looking out towards the lake. A nice dock make using our canoe and kayak easy, Plenty of bass and trout in the lake as my grandsons can attest to. Overall a wonderful, but too short a stay. Would look forward to returning in the future. Also, plenty of additional fishing, from the Connecticut lakes, to off the beaten path bogs, ponds and smaller lakes. Absolutely a beautiful area, and highly recommended rental property.

The house was cozy, comfortable, and in a great location. My husband and I brought our two dogs for a little vacation. We were greeted with dog treats, bowls for food and water, personalized Good Friday Chalet stickers, and a cute sign with my name on it. Although we went in the spring, the house would also be great for one of our ski trips in the winter. There was plenty of space and two large common areas, so it would fit a group of friends comfortably. I grew up in Northern New Hampshire, so I knew a lot about the area. The house had a booklet with many great recommendations for outdoor activities, shopping, and restaurants which would be great for guests that are unfamiliar with what North Conway has to offer. The house was conveniently located in a quiet area (great for my reactive dog), but it was within walking distance of the main street. The hosts were excellent. We did have a question that we needed to text Pat about during our stay. He responded very quickly and made sure to ask us if we needed anything during our stay. I highly recommend this house for a getaway with your family, or for a group of friends that want to ski/hike/tube down the Saco.

My family and I (husband, mother-in-law, and two 20 year old children and 1 friend, plus 2 dogs) all stayed comfortably at the Lakeside Retreat for a week over the fourth of July. Some of the highlights were: being at a peaceful, quiet end of the lake, the beach front area, the beds! (oh, so comfy), the basement with pool table, the water toys and shed with other toys, the front porch, the fire pit area, being able to have our aging dogs with us, and the overall ease of the house. The owners have thought of every possible need that someone might have! You can literally pull up from out of state or out of the country and except for food and clothes, you have everything you need. The only real drawbacks are that the house is off from a somewhat busy road. Inside the house you would never know, but outside you can hear cars and trucks. We actually got used to it and could tune it out. Also, the atv/snowmobile trail runs right in front of the house. Everyone who came through was incredibly respectful, but it is an area where people are riding and walking right between the house and beach. The traffic and trail would absolutely not deter us from renting here again - that is how great the Lakeside Retreat is!

The house was beautiful and had ample room for the 7 of us. The property though is what "puts it over the top"! After a day of running here and there, trying to cram as many activities in as possible, it was wonderful to return to the serenity and privacy of the back yard and simply relax taking in the beauty of the brook and it's numerous waterfalls. During our time there, despite the slightly hectic schedule we enjoyed, we still managed to get into the brook's swimming hole (actually there are two areas right behind the house that are large enough to be "swimming holes") on several occasions. The water was crystal clear and exhilarating to lounge in on the hot days we experienced while there. The property owner, Shalaka, was a joy to deal with. She reached out to us several times during our stay to ensure everything was going well. We'll definitely be "trying" (if the word gets out availability will be limited :) ) to vacation here again!

Our journey to the Bray Hill House almost did not happen. Three hours into the trip our Yukon Denali stalled as we exited the highway for a quick snack . Fortunately we picked up a rental and continued on. We contacted Israel to let him know we were not going to make our ETA of 3:00 PM and more likely it would be after dark. He had the heat set at a comfy 65 degrees and made sure all of the exterior lights were turned on upon our arrival. Little did did we know that getting there after dark would lead to such an amazing experience the following morning. As we opened the door to our bedrooms to start our day my wife, son and I were greeted by one of the most breathtaking panoramic views that any of us have ever witnessed. I stood in place for almost five minutes taking it all in. The moment might not have been as powerful if we made it on time during the daylight hours. That being said the home is an architectural masterpiece, the open concept design succeeds on so many levels while the space remains warm and inviting. The house is loaded with every amenity imaginable. There are plenty of games, books and other entertainment on hand and if people are up for some outside activity I suggest venturing outside the homes cozy confines. We took advantage of the private hiking trails on the property which were clearly marked adding a sense of security to our hike. It was awesome to have a little adventure just beyond the front door. The Bray Hill House was more than advertised. We would definitely consider another visit. The Pellegrini Family.
We arrived at the house and were immediately blown away with the way the owners had maximized the space. From entering the property, the multipurpose room with pool/ping pong table and large seating area with access to the hottub and the master King room were not disappointed. Walking upstairs (which had small lights that served as nightlights) we were greeted with the incredible wall of windows overlooking the mountains. The seating area and fireplace with open concept kitchen ensured we'd have an incredible stay! I especially liked the wood accents on the railing and fireplace, bench and island seating in the kitchen. With 3 bedrooms upstairs and a half bath, we didnt want for anything. The fireplace provided a cozy spot to play games and relax. Also, the well lit driveway made it easy for guests who were arriving later to find the house. Tip: right inside the front door, there is a switchpanel that has one unmarked switch which is a rectangle - that turns off the driveway lights. I missed that until very late the first night and it was bright in the upstairs bedroom, but once we turned that off all was good! We were already talking about when we could go back. I would definitely recommend this property!
