The home was perfect! I am a travel agent and have done my fair share of touring resorts and looking for an upside and/or downside to resort vacationing. With that said, we did drive by the house twice since we didn't see the house number from the road and it has a shared driveway entrance with the house next door. BUT once we got there, it exceeded my expectations. First and foremost it was very clean and well stocked of necessities for any beach activity including beach towels, water shoes, beach chairs and snorkel gear to name a few. The house is well positioned for a short walk to any of the 3 beaches. The bedrooms were very spacious with comfortable beds (except the twins.....they might have waterproof mattress pads since it appears to be a kids room) and flat screen TV's in all. The kitchen had all the necessities for cooking/dining but THE VIEW from the living area!!!! My gosh! It is grand! The pool was well maintained and we used it often. I cannot say enough about the house and the owner. My emails and questions were answered promptly and my security deposited refunded back to me as I sat on my flight home. I highly recommend this property. My family (all adults at this point) had an amazing visit to Kauai while staying at The Bird of Paradise Home and we are looking forward to a return trip. The added bonus is the house concierge and house manager. The concierge pre booked our tours and did my grocery shopping prior to our arrival. Yes, there is a fee attached to the shopping but considering I didn't want to arrive after a long flight , pick up the car rental, drive 30 minutes to unpack our luggage and then go back to Safeway to do my hour worth of grocery shopping. This was vacation and I wanted to start it as soon as my feet it the ground. The house manager came our first night and gave us some valuable touring information that we utilized the very next day. You can't go wrong with this property.

Our family of 8 plus a 1 yr old stayed in your marvelous home during our early June trip to Kauai recently. This was the first trip to Hawaii for most of us and we are so excited we chose to stay in your home in Poipu. It was so up to date with everything we needed and the 4 bedrooms (including the additional trundle bed in the pool room) was just right and the fact everyone had their own bathroom was awesome. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything but food. I am very hot natured so the air conditioner in our bedroom was wonderful when needed. We sat at the window every morning looking out at the ocean, went for daily walks/jobs with the beautiful temperate weather (loved that) and strolls to the nearby Shipwreck and Poipu Beaches. The personal heated pools were great and our 1 year old loved floating in the baby pool. Plenty of snorkle/boogie board equipment that always came in handly and useful. Loved the grill and front porch area for relaxing. Evan was most helpful and provided one of the best tips in a little coffee/danish shop in Kappa nearby. He was there but not if you know what I mean. Some great adventures we recommend are the Hawaiian Blue Helicopter rides (so professional and comfortable); Smith Luau, trip to Ke'e beach on North Shore as well as Wailua Falls; dinner at The Beach House and Kioki Paradise; shopping in the little town of Koloa; Anara Day Spa at the Hyatt and just everything else. Took a day trip to Oahu and Pearl Habor and some took the kayak trip up at the Napali Coast. WE cooked breakfast every morning in your wonderful home and found it to be a paradise in itself. WE appreciate the personal service of your home and we are already figuring out how soon we can get back. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. I will recommend Orchid House to anyone I know headed that way. I have great pictures of the hibiscus out front. Mahalo! The Richardson and Lairds

We found the house and location better than the pictures online, a testament to the personal style and thoughtful planning and outfitting of a home from kitchen to bedroom to bath to living room--the garage even had 4 bicycles. The outstanding hospitality of the owners Rae-Marie and Tom really made the arrival and ongoing experience particularly special. What accommodating, kind people! Rae-Marie made us feel immediately at home when we arrived: the tour of home and various appliances made a difference to everyone's comfort level and the added touches of flowers in every room, fruit and chocolates and wine, and use of pantry items made our late arrival an easier, softer landing. We'd vacationed in the Princeville/Hanalei area several times before, but Rae-Marie offered so much wonderful detail of the neighborhood, we felt even more at home. She put me in touch with a delightful woman to do childcare one night as well. Owners who treat you like company or friends and respect your time and vacation experience are rarer finds than a beautiful house. But beautiful and comfortable house it is! The house's 180-degree spectacular views and spaciousness and comfortable furnishings were particularly welcome with wetter weather than usual this April. We could still enjoy the beauty of the mountains and ocean and landscaping without ever leaving the house. The hot tub and pool made everyone's outdoor needs easier on erratic sun and showers and windier days. Unfortunately due to too wet and muddy hillside, we'll have to save exploring the beautiful semi-private beach below the house next time. Honu Point is the perfect place to enjoy a family vacation or a special occasion with friends! Mahalo and we'll be back! We've already shared pictures and recommendations with many friends and family!

Well documented in other reviews but the views from this condo are simply stunning – I’d note that they are also unique to other locations. The Mahana benefits from literally being on top of the ocean (vs. set back like nearly all others) and this condo is nine floors up. Result is gorgeous views of the islands across the channel, sunsets, beautiful and endless ocean and if you are there right time of year the whales literally dancing in front of you. Almost daily they’d be doing flips etc. its pretty amazing to see. I’d add that the corner unit also provides what I think is a really cool view down the entire beach with trees etc. The boardwalk effectively starts in front of you so you get to see down the whole beach. Condo is very well appointed, furnished etc. Everything you could ever need or ask for. In particular an exceptionally well stocked beach closet (snorkel gear, all types of chairs, etc.) makes beach trips a joy. Beautiful kitchen, incredibly comfortable beds, nice shower. Everything well stocked and ready to roll. There was thought put in to have everything here you might need – was impressive. Kudos and mahalo. Location of the Mahana I would suggest is ideal if you are coming to Kaanapali. It is walking distance to several keys – Times Grocery (best in area), Dukes Restaurant, boardwalk, and the fish market (best Ahi sandwich I have ever had). But importantly (for us anyway) it’s a chill place so not the noise, waits for grill etc. that you may get at other places in this area that have too many rooms compared to resources they offer. I loved that you can get a pool chair easily, never feel like there is mess all around in common areas etc. and just relax in a sweet local. Note the pool is normal sized and not a water park – go next door for that. Net is our experience met and even exceeded the high expectations set from all the reviews. Worth the splurge and hard to imagine that it disappoints.

We spent two weeks at the Maui Garden Oasis with five adults and two children and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The photos on the website are accurate and I feel they don’t do it justice, the house is beautifully decorated and it had everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, spices, and a great coffee grinder. The garage is filled with beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, games, coolers, towels, snorkels, masks, everything you need for a day at the beach. This house was one of the few that we looked at which had a nice big dining room table for a large group, but we spent almost all of our time in the beautiful backyard, where there is plenty of comfortable seating, a picnic table, hot tub, outdoor shower, fruit trees, a fantastic BBQ, and plenty of shade. The bedrooms had either King or Queen beds that were comfortable with extra pillows and blankets available. Each room had air conditioning that made the warm evenings that much more comfortable. There were TV’s everywhere but we rarely turned them on. There is fast wifi, which, made uploading snorkeling videos to Facebook easy. One thing that sticks out for me is the strong water pressure, which, is essential for blasting a days worth of sand and sunscreen off. Any minor problems we had were met with a very quick response and action. The house is located walking distance to the main road, shopping, playground and restaurants and a short drive to some amazing beaches. The neighbourhood is quiet, except for the wild chickens, and safe. My concern with vacationing with seven people, even though they were family, was that we’d be on top of each other. That was not the case at the Maui Garden Oasis, the home was big enough and with the large outdoor living area we never felt cramped. If we travel to Maui with a group again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

So incredibly grateful to have found this home in Princeville! My (new) husband and I had an idea a year ago to bring our blended family together for a "family-moon"/week in Paradise and this house was the perfect fit for our large group of 10 plus our (barely) 6 month old grandson! Personally, I'm the kind of person that likes my space/quiet time and this layout was ideal. Our Master Suite had huge picture windows and views that were so peaceful to fall asleep and wake up to. The home is also well appointed with recently installed air conditioning, gourmet kitchen and breathtaking ocean views from the large great room. It was everything my husband and I hoped for on this trip, and more! This home is the ideal setting for a large family or group, with Smart TV's throughout to enjoy Netflix, etc. Large deck is great for dining, and has a barbecue and space to chill and catch some rays. Set in an upscale and quiet neighborhood with paved streets, it's great for walks or running and is close to some good beaches and hiking spots. It's also within walking distance to the St. Regis Resort. Can't say enough good things about this house, and the lovely lady I dealt with during this entire process, owner Tammy Russel-Rice. From beginning to end she was responsive, thoughtful and extremely helpful providing answers to any questions I had. I also was in touch with the property's Island Host during my stay, and she too was was responsive and helpful. Words cannot express how grateful I am that we found this home to make some great family memories in. If you're planning a trip for a large group to Kauai, this is your spot.

Kenya was a super host and thoughtfully had filled ice trays, cold filtered water and cooked aloe vera in the fridge/freezer. Complimentary tea and coffee in the well-appointed kitchen. Coffee maker, microwave and l and full stove with oven. We didn't cook anything but could have easily because everything was provided to include pots and pans, bowls, all utensils down to measuring cups and spoons. No need to bring a cooler, beach towels, chairs, or umbrella because it's provided. She even had bug spray (didn't need it) and mineral based sunscreen available. Comfortable bed and very fluffy towels. AC was much appreciated, too. Having the washer/dryer was a bonus to rinse out our wet beachwear. The living space was comfortable for two adults and was exactly as described. It's right on Ali'i Drive so it's a good idea to back into the parking space for easy exiting. There was a bit of road noise but it didn't bother us with white noise to help sleep. Kenya was very responsive and helpful.

This air bnb was by far the best we have ever stayed at! We stayed here for our honeymoon for a week, and Jes and Pete’s place is top notch. They were extremely thoughtful and had left cookies, macadamia nuts, fresh fruit, and a little surprise for us in the fridge! Also, Jes responded to any questions we had right away and was very friendly! I’ve never had such a responsive host. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous as it overlooks the golf course, the place was immaculate in terms of cleanliness and amenities! This air bnb had it all, and everything you could possibly need and more! They have plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, a cooler, sunscreen, a variety of spices for cooking, and toiletry items! This condo is absolutely stunning with its open floor concept and is so peaceful. If you don’t want to stay at a resort but want to be in the heart of Wailea—stay here! We were able to walk or easily drive to everything. I absolutely loved this location, and the hosts are so kind!
