We had an amazing 8 days at Alison and Jerome's apartment. The apartment is not large but it was very comfortable and had plenty of space for two. The bedroom was quite big with a large comfortable bed with very nice linen and great pillows. The kitchen was small but had all we needed for self catering. The living area was very comfortable with a great sofa. The large balcony had great views of the mountain and along the valley. We were travelling without a car and we had no problems whatsoever getting to the apartment and around the valley using the train and the hikers buses. A huge bonus was that Alison and Jerome provide a 'Hochkonig' card for each guest which allows unlilmited free hiker's bus transfers and use of the summer chairlifts/cable car. The card is a bonus for summer visitors and would normally have to be purchased. We used the card extensively to access various walks and view points. The bus from Bischofshofen (train station) stops about 150 meters from the apartment and Alison actually met us to assist with our luggage. The village is small and not nearly as 'touristy' as some of the other villages and it had a good sized supermarket and a great bakery and several restaurants. Alison is a very warm host (we didn't get to meet Jerome) and she was very prompt with all communication both before our stay and during. We have no hesitation in recommending this as the perfect accommodation in Muhlbach am Hochkonig and the village is also a magical place to stay. Thank you Alison and Jerome.

If this property has come up as one of your choices BOOK IT NOW! Being an experienced traveler and frequent airbnb'er I have had many different experiences but this one ranks at the very top! From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Jerome and Allison are very thoughtful and considerate hosts and truely enhanced our experience of this region of Austria. The accommodations were perfect, sparkling clean and plenty of room for our family of four. There are additional services they offer and I highly recommend that you include these in your stay. Breakfast is served in the basement with a lovely view of the garden and was simple yet fabulous I'd definitely purchase this option at least once during your stay. They also offer laundry service that was also a great convenience. The village has everything great resturants and pubs and a remarkable bakery (Allison and Jerome offer bread service don't miss that either). Everywhere we went there was clean, friendly and convenient. The location is ideal we did day trips to Zell Am See, Bertchgaden and Hallstat. On the way out we stopped at another recommended place to experience Austrian Farm life and that was a great way to end our trip to that region. Thank you Jerome and Allison for making this a five star experience.

This apartment in Bad Ischl is very nice. The classic solid wood furniture and beautiful lamps make the room very warm. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and a living room. Kitchen facilities are available for daily needs.Monika, the host, was very kind and gave us detailed information about the town and the surrounding tourist areas. It has easy access to Hallstatt and St. Wolfgang,About 20 minutes. To Hallstatt you can take the train to Hallstatt station, then take the boat into Hallstatt. There is No.150 bus from Salzburg, about an hour and a half. There are also trains to Vienna and Linz, and even to Budapest. If there is any chance, I will come here again, and recommend it to my friends.

The place was very easy to find and has a lovely location. The host are friendly and the apparent was cozy. The bedding are sufficient and very clean. The kitchen is very tiny and is right across the toilet. The awesome view from the balcony is partly blocked by another house. That’s the only negative. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Really comfortable pad for a week in Vienna! I had to do heaps of washing by the time we got there on our 10week vacation, so the washing machine was a huge bonus for us. Note: it’s a small washer of 4kg, but once I caught up, it was the perfect size. No dryer, but that was ok as just hanging the clothes on the clothes airer and on hangers on the racks in the main bedroom was good enough- everything was dry within 24hours! Nice big fridge to hold the shopping from Billa, which was a short 5 min walk away. Was lovely being able to open all the windows and hear the clip clopping of the horse carriages going past every now and then. Had to close them on occasion due to smokers on the street below - we don’t smoke, but loads of people in Vienna seem to. It could also get noisy in the evenings because there are a few bars on the street below, but the sound proofing when the windows are closed is pretty good. Johannes was a great host - readily available for questions and advice
Trang’s place is the perfect spot for anybody traveling via train into Vienna! It’s barely a 10 minute walk from the central train station (and there’s an even more direct subway if you really don’t want to walk) which makes getting in and out of the city a breeze. The couch bed easily fit me as a 193cm person and was comfortable as she has a mattress topper that she puts on the bed. It’s a large space compared to most rooms and Trang is an amazing communicator. Stay with her if you can!
