These Community Standards form part of the binding agreement between you (the 'Member') and Houfy Inc. They are enforceable under our Terms of Service and outline mandatory requirements for using Houfy’s services, including examples of prohibited conduct..

How to Report Violations

If you see something that may violate our policies, please report it to us by email immediately.

Core Values are guiding principles that inform, but do not replace, the enforceable standards below. Where actions violate a core value, Houfy may still enforce these guidelines even if the specific conduct is not otherwise listed as prohibited.

Enforcement Actions

Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent suspension. You can submit an appeal if you believe action was taken in error.

Trust & Authenticity

Be Trustworthy

All member accounts must be associated with real individuals or, in the case of business accounts, legally registered entities. Members must provide their legal name, accurate identifying details, and, where requested, verification documentation. Fictitious or anonymized accounts are prohibited.

Houfy reserves the right to require re-verification at any time and to suspend or remove accounts that fail verification

Be Professional

We acknowledge the value of discussions around professional activities and ask our members to behave professionally by not being dishonest or inappropriate. When creating content, we ask that you keep it professional, relevant, and on-topic.

Avoid personal attacks, defamatory statements, or communications intended to intimidate, discredit, or cause reputational harm to other members or Houfy. Such actions will be treated as severe violations.

Anti-Spam & Scam Prevention

We prohibit any activity that could reasonably be interpreted as spam, scam, or other manipulative practice, whether through Houfy’s systems or by using Houfy to direct activity elsewhere. This includes both automated and manual actions intended to mislead, solicit without consent, or artificially influence visibility or engagement metrics.

Prohibited Activities

  • • Sending spam or unsolicited communications
  • • Using invitation features for promotional messages
  • • Harvesting user information without consent
  • • Phishing or spoofing attempts
  • • Artificially inflating engagement metrics
  • • Posting or transmitting any misleading offers, false claims, or fraudulent rental opportunities
  • • Circumventing Houfy’s booking or payment systems to avoid applicable services or platform use requirements

Content Guidelines

Appropriate Content Standards

Your messages, posts, comments, hashtags, and other content should be on-topic and relevant. Houfy is a professional marketplace and community. All posts, listings, and communications must be relevant to property rentals, travel, or related professional services, and must maintain a tone consistent with a professional business environment.

Business-related content, industry insights, professional networking

Relevant

On-topic discussions, helpful resources, constructive feedback

Respectful

Courteous communication, diverse perspectives, inclusive language

Enforcement & Appeals

Violation Consequences

Houfy retains sole discretion to determine whether a violation has occurred and what enforcement action to take. Enforcement decisions may consider the nature, severity, frequency, and impact of the violation. Houfy is not obligated to provide prior warning before action.

Houfy reserves the right to take enforcement actions, including, without limitation, the following:

Minor Violations

  • • Content warning or removal
  • • Temporary content restrictions
  • • Educational notifications

Severe Violations

  • • Account suspension
  • • Permanent account termination
  • • Legal action if necessary
Appeal Process

If you believe action taken on your content or account was in error, you can submit a request to appeal your case.

Appeals must be submitted within 14 calendar days of enforcement action and must include all supporting evidence. Failure to provide relevant evidence may result in automatic denial.
