We were blown away by this beautiful Villa and the wonderful hospitality from Minas! we had the most amazing stay making memories for our family. If you are looking for your own little sanctuary this is the place to come for peace, quiet, and relaxation. The Villa itself was clean spacious and extremely comfortable and for the first time ever in Crete, we slept so well! The beds were very comfortable and the temperature of the house was perfect, we didn't use the air conditioning at all ! There are so many places to relax and take time for yourself including the garden, bbq area, outside kitchen, balconies or just relaxing in the living room watching T.V. The garden has fruit, vegetables, and herbs that you can collect and use to make delicious food . The views are unbelievable and if you enjoy walking you can walk to the pine forest Minas the host was the best host we have ever met, his attention to detail and his kindness is really heartwarming, when we arrived he had prepared a meal for us and had the kitchen stocked with essentials, he organized an outside movie night for us with a projector screen and even cooked for us which was superb and his mum made me a vegetarian meal also. There were bikes and sun loungers for us to use and he had brought us toys for the kids . there is so much more to write about this place however it really is a hidden gem, Minas you are a legend and we can't wait to see you again !!

Perfection in Naxos!
Villa Ariadne in Plaka is incredible! This house is literally perfect - the owners have thought of every detail to make your stay comfortable. The house itself is gorgeous, and so thoughtfully laid out and well appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The pool and outdoor areas are stunning, creating a perfect outdoor oasis. There is even an herb garden so that guests can cook with fresh herbs every day! The beach is a short 3-5 minute walk, and Plaka beach is excellent! There was a large chest of beach toys and pool noodles that were great for my 2.5 year old. We were 3 generations - grandparents in their late 70s, me and my husband (40s), and our son (2.5), and we all loved the house. The layout - a large bedroom and bath with sea views on the top floor, then the main living level, and then 3 bedrooms/2 full baths on the lowest floor, worked perfectly for our group. To top it off, Athena and Takis are the best hosts! They have a convenient guide that you can download on your phone, they answer questions right away, and they will go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable - they did some basic shopping for us so we could have some food when we got there, and they even found a tray of baklava for my dad's birthday. They are amazing. This villa was a dream come true!

Fabulous 28 Stay at a Perfect Naxos Seaside Villa
Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Takis, the owner, bent over backwards to make sure every detail, every aspect of our stay in his elegant seaside villa was perfect! He arranged and paid for our initial transfer from the ferry port and then brought me to the airport the next day to pick up the car I booked. Refrigerator was totally stocked with everything imaginable for breakfasts and cocktail hour for a week for the initial four of us (two more joined us a few days in). We had things like yogurt, eggs, cold cuts, bread, champagne (toast on arrival with him), crackers, cereal, milk, jams and butter, beer, sweets and more. He made reservations for us wherever we wanted to go and we were often greeted as special friends because of his connections and friendships on the island. While we enjoyed the front terrace for breakfasts and cocktails, people who walked by would often stop and ask how they could book the villa. The rooftop terrace is divine for sunsets. The location is ten stars - couldn’t be better half way between the two top beaches on the island - walking to restaurants, grocery stores and boutiques in under five minutes in either direction. Fabulous housekeeping ever other day. Kitchen easy to cook in for the several meals we prepared on our own. And the villa itself is even more beautiful than the photos. Thank you - we’ll be back with family we hope next year.

Naxos bargain
Seaside Naxos - Villa Aetheria was better than advertised. It was very spacious and clean. Every bedroom had its own bathroom with great showers. The patio provided a fun setting for evening gatherings. Air conditioning worked very well. It is a short walk to Plaka beach which was awesome. We recommend Aegean Pool and Bar - free umbrellas and sun beds if you order drinks (no minimum). We enjoyed a day trip up the mountains to a couple villages - Aperanthos was our favorite. Athena and Takis were great hosts - they provide a 56 page recommendation book to review before you stay. All the recs we pursued were great. Our favorite was the mint mango spiced daiquiris at Yazoo on Plaka Beach. We have moved on to Mykonos and then Santorini. I can definitely say Villa Aetheria is the best place at the least cost on a wonderful island that offers beaches, mountains, hiking, and city life. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Greece.

Our recent stay at Mythic villa was astonishing. By looking at the breathtaking landscapes of both the mountains and the sea, this villa offered us a truly magical experience. From the moment we arrived, we were attracted by the stunning views allowing us to enjoy the beauty of Crete from every angle. The villa itself was spacious and beautifully designed. Each room was meticulously designed, offering ample space for relaxation and comfort. The highlight for us was setting outside, whether we were enjoying our morning coffee or relaxing with family after a day of exploration. What set our experience apart was the warm hospitality by Maria and Georgios ensuring that every detail was taken care of. Upon our arrival, we found the villa stocked with all the amenities we could possibly need, making us feel instantly at home. We celebrated a special event with family who had traveled from different corners of the world, and the villa made our gathering even more memorable.

Simply perfect!
We stayed for a week at Villa Dimitra in July 2013 and what a stay it was! The villa itself is new, clean and spacious, thoughtfully furnished and beautifully decorated, with large well-equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and lots of outdoor spaces. There were 7 of us, all girls, and there were no lines to the bathrooms in the morning, because there were three and a half bathrooms! Athena was a wonderful hostess. She picked us up at the port, drove us to the supermarket, brought us vegetables from her own garden. She was always there for us to answer questions, give recommendations and provide us with care and attention we have never seen from any host (and we travel a lot!). It takes about 5-7 minutes on foot to get to the beach, one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen and it was not crowded. If you want umbrellas and beach chairs, turn right upon entering the beach, but if you want privacy and serenity, turn left – the beach there is almost empty, which was what we were looking for. The bus stop and Three Brothers tavern are right on the corner which was very convenient. We found Three Brothers tavern to be one of the best restaurants on the island. We also bought bread and appetizers from them to eat at the villa. It takes about 20 minutes by bus to get to Naxos town and the port. The old part of the town was unbelievably beautiful and authentic. After making day trips to Santorini and Myconos which were way too touristy and pricey, we felt that they were highly overrated, while old Naxos town – underrated. If you are looking for an authentic Greek atmosphere, make sure you wander the winding streets of old town during the day as well as at night. You’d feel like you were transported back in time. All in all, our stay at villa Dimitra was perfect! The only negative, the stay was too short! One week felt like one very long and very happy day!

Fantastically run Beach house
This home sits in a compound of four other homes with the owners on the property. It is immaculate and roomy. We had housekeeping every day which was a plus. The owners are delightful and are anxious to help you. They arranged our car and ATV rental, met us at the airport to pickup extra luggage, and booked reservations. The house is a 5 minute to Plaka beach down a small road. There is a full sized frig which helped for our party of 8. The bedrooms were comfy and fit our party well. There were three downstairs, a queen, double and bunk beds. The master (a queen) is upstairs. For my 50 + year old back the mattress was wonderful! Also, being from the states, it is important to point out that the AC worked great in all the rooms. As the seating in the living space is limited, you can spill out to any one of the patios available. The house is about 20 minutes from Naxos town but there are plenty of beach side restaurants you can walk to if you do not want to drive. A taxi costs approx 20 euro to Naxos town. Also our kids used the ATVs all over the island. We loved our stay here and would certainly recommend the home and the very accommodating owners.

How do you say "An Ideal Rental" in Greek?
Long before we arrived in Greece, Carole made us feel welcome. Thanks to her generous emails and extensive preparatory notes (adapted to each apartment), we had a good idea of what to expect. Then came the big surprise: our actual experience turned out even BETTER than expected. If you have read the descriptions of Carole's five apartments on VRBO, and thought to yourself, "They sound too good to be true," think again. The Heritage House apartment was exactly as described at VRBO, but its location still astonished us. The green Hill of the Pnyx was our "back yard." The green Agora site was our "front yard." We walked from the apartment to the Acropolis and to the new Acropolis Museum on a pedestrian street. We spent three days in Athens before encountering car traffic! Both the facade and the interior of Heritage House are exceptionally attractive. The owners, even more so. Babis and Xenia know better than most owners how to be welcoming and helpful, and also how to respect your privacy. We enjoyed some lively conversations and some good advice---but not one intrusion. Note that although the great classical sites are very close, the little necessities of life sit even closer: grocery store; bakery; pharmacy; ATM; etc. You are also comfortably near to the Thissio Metro station and to numerous bus lines. Restaurants and cafes are also present in abundance, but we rarely visited them, as it was so very pleasant to enjoy a meal or a drink on our own little open-air "terrace" above the back garden. We have been to Greece multiple times, but we had no idea that living in Athens could be so agreeable and peaceful and green. Did I mention the great beds; the spacious shower; the excellent wi-fi; the appliances that all work perfectly? Unless you are deeply devoted to hotel-type services, we doubt you could find a better accommodation anywhere in Greece than in one of Carole's splendid apartments.
