Texas vacation rentals

Grandview Wildlife Ranch caught our eye as we planned our anniversary trip, but little did we know that the pictures were nothing like the real thing!! Just 15 miles from Fredericksburg and all the town has to offer, we spent our days perched on the top of the most beautiful Texas “mountain” with a million dollar view and a pastoral peace that can’t be measured! We cooked and hiked and sat on the patio staring at the view, watched the stars, drove the mule to the far reaches of the land, sat in a blind to watch the deer, watched the tiny goldfinches as they drank and bathed in the fountain!! We spent an afternoon on the tree deck with a bottle of wine and some bread and cheese while we watched the deer move from one side of the hill to another. All the outdoor furniture is Amish made and is comfortable and well maintained. The moments spent rocking on the deck easily turned into hours! Their hot tub on the house deck was large and the owners, Mary and Ken, spared no expense in providing one that delivered the ultimate in relaxation! They were experts at making us feel at home…from greeting us at the driveway, to giving us a royal tour, teaching us how to use everything on the ranch, and for providing the yummy breakfast goodies!! They truly know how to spoil their guests!! They stock the softest towels and linens, and that bed….sleep was sound and peaceful. I’ve run out of adjectives and will just say, it was perfect and we will remember our first time there forever.

Our family of 11 (adults & children) had an outstanding stay at Fancy Like with above bar communication with hosts Jonathan and Valarie who are dedicated to proving their guests with an excellent experience. Sprawling private off-street property with deer (which our kids loved), very clean home, a kitchen with everything you can need, two refrigerators/freezers (kitchen & laundry room), and a laundry room/playroom combination which provided the kids with lots of entertainment. Everyone loved the shuffleboard, air hockey and foosball tables. The backyard is so beautiful & private. We all loved the pool, hot tub, & waterfall. Jonathan & Valarie are amazing hosts providing lots of information about the area, restaurants, & places to go with the kids. We rented a pontoon boat with slide & captain with their recommended company & loved it. We even had s'mores one night in the outdoor firepit. Stocked up on groceries at HEB in New Braunfels, and then used the local Lowe's Market (less selection/higher prices) for items needed during our week's stay. It was handy having a CVS close by. We discovered the restaurant "Mavens" our first day for lunch (day before the family arrived), returned that night for dinner and to listen to a band and had some of their amazing lemon meringue cheesecake. Loved it so much we took the whole family back the following Friday night to enjoy an outdoor experience of good food, music, with space for the kids to run around. Highly recommend Fancy Like!!

The home is nicely decorated and clean. The living room furniture is comfortable and generously seats up to six people. I like that the furniture is not cloth which makes it feel even cleaner.Kitchen drawers and cabinets as well as light switches, etc. were labeled which we thought was a nice touch. The hallway and the bathroom have sensor lights which was also a nice touch.We felt that the host went above and beyond by providing extra necessities that other rentals do not. We stayed four nights and we had plenty of shampoo/body soap, hand soap, toilet paper, etc. There were plenty of towels and washcloths. The host also provided farm fresh eggs which we ended up not using, bottles of water, and some snacks. I almost forgot! And the host provided a few single serve Blue Bell ice cream cups! She also surprised us with a jar of spiced pickles for our anniversary.We didn’t cook so we can’t speak to cookware, but there seems to be plenty of dishes, cups, and silverware.On our last day, we went to the pond. It’s a really nice pond. We “fished” for a little bit. We did not use the paddle boat, but it was available for use.The outside of the home is nicely kept and the wild flowers are super pretty right now.The home is convenient to shopping and eating. Highly recommend going to the Blue Bell factory everyday and getting one dollar scoops of ice cream!!We would stay here again without hesitation.

We rented this beach house for our wedding and it could not have been more perfect. I could not believe how nice this home was and all of the amenities and accommodations Dan offers. The weather thank goodness was definitely in our favor which was even more perfect. We had our ceremony rite their on the beach in front of the house on 6/13 on a Monday , we had our reception underneath the home and decorated it to perfection. This definetly gave us the dream wedding I have always wanted to the tee plus more. The bedrooms were great and the upstairs master bedroom and bathroom were perfect for me as the bride to get ready with my wedding party. The deck is so spacious and the view is absolutely breath taking, it was so nice to just sit on the deck and watch the waves, dance and have all of my family and friends together. The upstairs master also has a private deck which was great for my new husband and I to relax by our selves and drink coffee. The smart home features are great to literally control everything in the home. The radio worked throughout the entire home and outside , it was pretty nice. Dan was very good about calling us to see if we needed anything and to help with the Internet. The house also has 2 queen size airmattress that we didn't need but definitely awesome to have available if needed. The AC worked great, the laundry room has a brand new washer and dryer and even comes with everything you need to do laundry, I thought that was great. My wedding photos that I have so far have come out breathtaking with the stair way for me to come down in my wedding dress to the nice stairway in front of the beach house we had all decorated, it was picture perfect. I have nothing but great things to say about this home and Dan. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND and we definetly want to book it again real soon.

My husband and I enjoyed our four-night stay. The property was well-kept and very much as it appeared in description and photos on the listing site. Generous off-street parking, small outside patio with grill. Plenty of room in this 2-bedroom, 1-bath rental for the two of us. Beds were very comfortable--quality linens. Care was taken by owner to try and think of pretty much everything a renter might want or find convenient during a stay. That included everything from luggage stand and hangers in the closet to a cabinet stocked with games, to a binder listing area restaurants, shopping and sight-seeing. We were greeted with a snack-basket and fully stocked "coffee bar corner." I especially liked having a laundry room in the rental. We went to Canyon, TX for our first look at the geology and natural beauty of the Canyonlands in the Texas Panhandle. We were a10-15 minute easy drive to Palo Duro Canyon State Park, and also very close to other sites like national preserves, state parks and even Cadillac Ranch. Canyon itself had a large natural history museum, a splash of different ethnic restaurants (Greek, Thai, Mexican, Italian, etc.), some antique stores to peruse, and, surrounded by big sky country, some beautiful sunsets to view. The town is not too spread out, so everything seems in walking distance or a very quick drive. With a university in the Canyon there are all the fast-food restaurants, grocery stores and even a Walmart. (We made several meals in the well-stocked kitchen at Buffalo Junction). We would recommend the home to others and would stay there again when we return to the area. Our hostess was very responsive and truly made our stay in her rental exceptional.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Allandale Guesthouse in Austin, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The location was ideal, providing easy access to all the vibrant attractions of Austin while offering a peaceful retreat away from the bustle of the city. The guesthouse itself was impeccably clean and stylishly decorated. It was spacious and well-appointed, featuring all the amenities one could need for a comfortable stay—comfy bed, high-quality linens, and a well-stocked bathroom. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the charming decor to the thoughtful touches like complimentary snacks and beverages. The hosts of the guesthouse were exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their genuine care and attention made my experience truly memorable. Overall, Allandale Guesthouse truly exceeded all my expectations. Its perfect blend of comfort, charm, and hospitality makes it a standout choice for anyone visiting Austin. I can't wait to return on my next trip to this vibrant city!

My wife and I stayed at Timeless Tides with our two daughters, age 4 and 2 years. I have only positive things to say about this place and our host Donna. The location is awesome, very close to the beach, in a beautiful and calm area of the island. Finding and getting into the house was very easy with the keyless entrance door. The place is lovely and we felt right at home. It was pristine clean and everything was in perfect order. Timeless Tides has everything that it is need for a comfort staying, including a very nice outside patio with firepit, hot tub, and equipment for kids to play at the beach. The washer and drier were working perfectly, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Lastly but not least, there was an excellent espresso machine that we enjoyed thoroughly. Donna is VERY responsive and every time I contacted her I received a response in onlya few minutes. Overall we had a wonderful time in Galveston and our kids enjoyed it a lot. I will definitely stay there again!

Jane's apartment is situated in a clean new building, very close to NRG stadium, just south of the Houston medical center/MDAnderson, and is surrounded by restaurant, grocery and shopping options. The location is exceptionally convenient. The apartment is spacious, with a very nice kitchen and two big bedrooms (each with its own bathroom). A washer and dryer are conveniently located in the unit as well. The unit has a self inflating air-mattress for an extra sleeping space in addition to the two large beds. The decor is very nice and tastefully done. The unit benefits from big windows and lots of natural light. Parking was free and easily available in a covered, gated, attached parking garage. The apartment was very quiet and we did not have any issues with noise at any time during our stay. Jane was exceptionally efficient in her communication and we had no problem checking in or with any aspect of our stay. Jane was very kind to help us out with checking in a little early, as it was Christmas eve and we had a long drive in to Houston. The apartment was stocked with really great amenities and a lot of extras. (Thank you Jane!) Jane's apartment was an excellent choice and one of the best Airbnbs I've stayed in. It is a much better option than similarly priced local hotels. I would definitely recommend staying in this apartment and will be planning to stay there again next time I come to Houston.
