Imagine you are sitting in an Adirondack chair in your backyard, sipping coffee. This unique house is capable of comfortably hosting 11 people and has excellent access to 200 acres of family owned private hiking trails along with being only 1 mile from Keene, 3.5 miles from Keene Valley and 16 miles from LakePlacid. It is located in the heart of the high Peaks Region.
This house is built on top of a cliff and follows the contour of the ground. Every room and space is at a different level and has steps you go up or down to enter. Although each room has a fireplace, we have closed them off for safety reasons.

Getting around

Plenty of parking available up at the house, at the bottom of the circle, or down below the hill. This is a very steep driveway and requires consistent speed until you reach the top, please do not stop half way up because it will chew up the drive (unless you need to stop for safety reasons)....The villa is 1 mile from Keene, 3.5 miles from Keene Valley, and 16 miles from Lake Placid.

House Rules

Please do not play or climb on any of the cliffs. They are very steep and dangerous. Guests may take advantage of the family private trails that are clearly marked with color tape. Use the trails at your own risk, they are uneven and hilly and take you past cliffs, streams and other potential hazards. Please stay on the trails as it is easy to get turned around in the woods and to avoid hiking on neighbors land. We have locked the tool room above the kitchen for your safety. Please enjoy the rest of the house. Each room except master bedroom has a portable heater for chilly nights. Leave heaters unplugged when not in use and only plug directly in to wall sockets. The master bedroom has a built in floor base heater you may use. We have a year round pest control service but this house is in the middle of the Adirondacks, so please do not leave any food out on the counters over night.Not suitable for infants (under 2 years)No smokingNo petsNo parties or eventsCheck-in is anytime after 3:00 PM
