Our luxurious 2-bed, 2-bath apartment on Roda Golf is beautifully furnished with lots of little extras to make you feel at home. Not only is it great for golf, it's great for kids and great for just relaxing. Everything you need for a fantastic holiday.

New for 2021 - remodelled kitchen includes more storage space and working area - plus new bed in master bedroom.

The apartment in on the 1st floor and located on Phase 2 so within easy walking distance of the golf course and club house. It is also within a few minutes drive of Los Alcazares and the Mar Menor beaches, which are gently shelving and really safe for kids. The stylishly furnished apartment has full air conditioning, full central heating and electric security grills. There's a HUGE, south facing balcony where you can relax in the sun or shade all day. Dine dine Al fresco for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner or just relax with a glass of wine.

WHY CHOOSE US
The apartment at Roda Golf was bought as our holiday home, so because of this, it has lots of stuff in that you wouldn't normally find in a rental apartment. Good pans, good knives, lots of crockery, cutlery and glasses. A large fridge - 'cos that's what you'll need to stock all the great fruit and veg from the area and lots to drink for the kids.

Our apartment has so much more than you might expect to make your holiday enjoyable. There are 2 sunbeds and 2 garden chairs, plus a beach chair, 2 lilos and other inflatables for the pool. Plus a sun umbrella and buckets and spades for the young ones to take to the beach.

There are duvets for the Winter, but also the option of blankets for the Spring and Autumn when you don't quite need such warmth. Plus fans in both bedrooms as, if you're like us, we don't like to sleep with air-con on overnight. . . . .

There's a visitors guide in the apartment so you can see what's available in the area - including a guide to the beaches, water parks, golf courses and entertainment in Los Alcázares and the Murcia area.

WE TAKE CARE OF YOU
On arrival you will be met at the apartment by Mike and Bev the owners, who will show you round, make sure you know where everything is to ensure you settle in quickly.

We are based in Spain and only a short drive away so if you have any problems whilst you are in our apartment we will try to sort things out over the phone or come to the apartment where that isn't possible.

AIR CONDITIONING
Sadly, due to severe abuse in the past, we have reluctantly had to installed a meter linked to the air conditioning system only. (All other electricity and utility costs are covered by the rental charges)
We include a complimentary 15 units per day – so approximately 5-6 hours usage.
Extra usage is charged at 20 cents (15p) per unit and is payable on departure.

DO I NEED A CAR?
Once at the apartment car hire isn't essential although we do advise it.
Los Alcázares centre is a 2.5 km walk and it will make all the difference if you want to play at other courses or see the beautiful scenery around the Mar Menor.

Murcia International (Corvera) Airport is a 35 minute journey to Corvera and 60 minutes to Alicante. It is approximately €100 in a taxi from Alicante and a taxi from Corvera will be €40-50.

RODA GOLF RESORT
Roda Golf is now a PGA Academy and lessons are available for children as well as adults. The course is becoming increasing popular with both professionals and amateurs alike. It has hosted many tournaments including a round of the PGA Championships, with competing golfers from all over Europe, and the Spanish Junior Open. In addition, the driving range and practice putting green are both proving to be great attractions.

ABOUT THE MAR MENOR AREA
Roda Golf Resort is not just for the golfer ................
Located on the Costa Calida, next to the Mediterranean Sea, Roda is just 2 km from Los Alcázares and the Mar Menor.

The promenade and beach stretches for 7 km and the local blue-flag beaches are fantastic having won the Q awards for excellence & safety.
Dotted with "chiringuitos" where you can have tapas to keep you going throughout the day. The water temperature is much higher than the surrounding Mediterranean and is warm enough to swim even in Spring! The gently shelving beaches make it safe for kids.

The waters of the Mar Menor are renowned for their healing properties and the water temperature is warm enough to swim even in early Spring!

The setting of the Costa Calida and Mar Menor is truly incredible. With more than 253 Km of Mediterranean beach, around 320 days of sunshine per year enjoying annual average temperatures of around 21 ºC, the Costa Calida is the perfect holiday place for a relaxing break all year round.

The Costa Calida is the ideal spot to enjoy your holiday with all the cultural and biological richness of the region of Murcia. It is also one of the most important spots in the world for sports lovers, offering various water sports including swimming, sailing, scuba diving and water skiing, as well as activities such as tennis, trekking or golf.

LOS ALCAZARES
The nearest town of Los Alcázares is 2km away with a range of shops, bars & restaurants. The promenade stretches for 8km, the local blue-flag beaches are fantastic having won the Q awards for excellence & safety. The beaches are dotted with "chiringuitos" - bars selling a variety of Tapas dishes, refreshments & local beer!

LOS NAREJOS
The nearest beach at Los Narejos is just 2 km from the resort. Gently shelving and really safe for kids. Apart from the height of Summer, the beach is usually quiet and is my personal favourite. The beach bars serve reasonably priced tapas, snacks and burgers. Start from here to walk the promenade all the way to the Yacht Club at the other end of Los Alcazares.

SANTIAGO DE LA RIBERA
The fishing village of Santiago de la Ribera is just 10 minutes drive away. It grew as a prime holiday destination for wealthy Murcians who built their houses along the coast. Santiago has a lovely promenade flanked by attractive palm trees. Today Santiago is still popular with the Spanish for their vacations but also attracts tourists from all over Europe and although it has a modern air, it has still maintained its ‘fishing village’ atmosphere. It has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

Santiago de la Ribera boasts a popular water-sports centre and sailing club so with it's superb safe beaches, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, cycling, a sports centre, and scuba diving ..... It's a great place to visit

LO PAGAN
Lo Pagan, near San Pedro del Pinatar, is a 20 minute drive and a visit is a must to take in the famous mud baths which has been renowned from early times for its healing powers. Get dirty ... by applying the mud all over the body and then dry out in the sun before washing off in the salt waters. The kids will love it!

CARTAGENA & MURCIA
Travel further afield to visit the roman ruins at Cartagena of the historic city of Murcia where you'll find amazing buildings and churches.

Suitability

Child friendly
The apartment is really suitable for small children - it's on the first floor (Floor 2 in US) and has a full, solid wall making it safer than ground floor apartments. There are window locks and shutters for extra security too.
However, we do not have a cot, high chair etc as it is against the law in Spain for owners to provide these. These are available to hire locally for an additional charge.
We accept infants - but they must be included in the total guest count as our letting licence is for a maximum of 4 people including infants.
Parking Included
Reserved parking in underground garage for 1 car.
Additional off street parking for extra cars.
Wheelchair Accessible
Although the apartment is not adapted for disabled use, there is easy access via the lift from both the underground car park and apartment block entrance to the apartment on the 1st floor.
There is a large walk-in shower and smooth, flat floors throughout - providing good access to the balcony as well.
Note Whilst the external door will allow wheelchair or mobility scooter access, the internal doors are only standard width.

Getting around

TRAVEL:
Getting to Roda couldn't be easier. The Costa Calida and Mar Menor is served by two airports.
It is a 35 minute journey to Murcia International (Corvera) and 60 minutes to Alicante. It is approximately €100 in a taxi from Alicante and a taxi from Corvera will be €40-50.

Bev worked for 30 years in the Financial Sector managing major IT Projects.
Mike was a marketing manager for a leading scientific glassware company.
Married for over 40 years, no kids but 3 rescued 'fur' babies who decided life with us was better than on the street.

Originally from Manchester, we bought a house in Spain to retire to which is located in a small Spanish village. However, it's old! So we are constantly working on lots of 'reformas' to make it into a place where we can relax and enjoy in our retirement.

The property is available for arrival between 17:00 and 22:00 hours and should be vacated by 12:00 hours on the day of departure (local time). Late check-in between 22:00/24:00 available - at an additional cost of €30. Arrival/Departure outside these times must be agreed prior to booking. We may be able to accept early check-in or late check-out (fee payable) - please ask before booking. On arrival, you will be met at the resort by ourselves. We are always available to assist with any problems you may have with the apartment. However, the apartment is all yours for the length of your stay and we will not intrude on your privacy.

No parties or events
No parties allowed - no stag or hen parties.
No pets
Sadly we cannot accept pets as these are not permitted by community rules
No smoking
Smoking is permitted but on the balcony only - ensure all windows and doors are closed.
If there is any smell of smoke in the apartment, this will result in a charge of €150 deep cleaning fee.
Minimum age limit for renters: 25
This is a family apartment and persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by parents or guardians.

Payment Policy
• 50% deposit to secure booking
• Balance due 6 weeks before your stay
• £200 Security Bond payable with your balance and returnable after departure inspection
• Payment via bank transfer, Credit Card or PayPal accepted
• Booking made less than 8 weeks ahead must be paid for in full at time of booking.

Payment
You will be sent an invoice immediately after booking which you can pay by bank transfer, credit card or PayPal. Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received.

Rental Agreement
You are required to sign our rental agreement, which must be completed and returned with 48 hours of booking the apartment.

Refundable Damage Deposit
The Security Deposit is payable with the balance.
The Guest is solely responsible for any and all damages, stains or breakage(s) that may be caused to the property or its contents and also for any non-return or loss of keys or loss of items in the inventory during their stay.
Therefore, a £200 refundable security bond will be held against such an eventuality
The property is inspected both before and at the end of each occupation and upon confirmation that all is in order and all keys have been returned at the end of the rental period, this deposit will be refunded in full. The deposit will be returned to the guest by electronic transfer of funds within fifteen (15) days.
Charges for damages/losses or any maintenance/repairs to the premises, equipment, amenities or fixtures necessitated by misuse or neglect will be at the discretion of the Owners and will be deducted from the security bond. In the event of any damage/loss that is assessed to be in excess of the security bond the Client will be held responsible for full reimbursement of the outstanding amount within fifteen (15) days.

Cancellation Policy
Should you have to cancel your booking, then the following cancellation charges apply:-
• Within 7 days of receiving our confirmation, we will refund the full amount of any money you have paid us (providing the booking is more than 8 weeks ahead).
• More than 6 Weeks before the start of your holiday, 50% of Rental Charge the (i.e. Reservation deposit).
• Between 4 and 6 weeks before the start of your holiday, 75% of Rental Charge.
• Less than 4 weeks before the start of your holiday, 100% of Rental Charge.

However, if you do have to cancel your booking we will try to re-let the property. If we are successful in obtaining a replacement booking, you will be refunded based on the value of the new rental price which may be less than the rental price originally agreed with you.
The refund will be calculated as follows:-
a) the total amount paid by you for the booking;
a) less 10% administration fee (minimum fee £50);
b) less the difference in price between the clients’ booking and the replacement booking if the new booking is a lower value.

For example: A £1000 booking, fully paid, cancelled and re-let for £900, means that the original Customer will be refunded as follows: £1000 – 10% booking fee equals £900, – £100 rebooking shortfall, = Refund of £800

Changes to dates
In the event that you would like to change the dates of your booking, we will endeavour to accommodate you without any additional administration charges.
• Changes to dates in higher tariff periods will be subject to the higher rental charge.
• Changes to dates in lower tariff periods made within 6 weeks of the start of the rental period, will only be subject to the lower charge if we can re-let the initial higher tariff period.
