Vestergaard is a traditional Danish farm originally built in 1870, which has kept its original structure of four buildings located around a central courtyard. Vestergaard is no longer a working farm, but is surrounded by 4 acres of peaceful gardens, carefully tended by the rooster William and his brood of hens, as well as their human servants. Magnus the cat is on rodent duty, while Lukas the Stabijhound keeps an eye on the mole population.
The guesthouse is the old pigpen and whilst the renovation has removed the smell, you can still find orginal flooring in the hallway and original arched ceilings. The guesthouse includes 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 bright and modern bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a charming collection of traditional Danish kitchen utensils and a dining hall that can seat up to 40 guests. The dining hall is usually not included in our Airbnb rentals, so contact us if you're interested.
The garden is fenced in and includes a cottage garden, secret pathways, quiet areas, vegetable patches, an old apple yard and fruit gardens, as well as play areas for children, outdoors seating and grill facilities. The closed courtyard inlcudes a wintergarden, swings and sandbox, and is perfect for children and dogs to run loose and play.
