The Owl at Freebird Ranch is a magnificently appointed vacation abode, styled in the grandeur of mid-century decor, that promises to provide a haven of luxurious comfort and beauty for guests visiting the mystic and breathtaking Black Hills. With a central location in the heart of the hills, guests are privy to all the wondrous wonders the region has to offer, within a stone's throw. The Owl is but one of the three homes at Freebird Ranch, set amidst a sprawling 20 acres of rolling hills and verdant vistas.

Gazing out from the eastern reaches of the property, guests are treated to a mesmerizing panorama of Nemo Mountain, framed by the unobstructed vistas of the wild brook trout stream, that meanders at the base of the mountain, surrounded by the rugged rock formations and the serene Ponderosa pines. With the entire mountain owned by the USFS, guests are offered an uninterrupted view of the resplendent sunrises and peaceful sunsets that grace this idyllic corner of the world.

Each home at Freebird Ranch boasts its own 60Mbs DSL and fast Mesh WiFi, TVs with Netflix and PrimeVideo for a fun entertainment experience, and an Alexas with access to Amazon's full music catalog.

Upon entering The Owl, guests are greeted by the inviting mud room, complete with comfortable seating and ample storage for footwear and outerwear, before making their way into the grand great room, where a dining area awaits, capable of seating 6-8 guests in comfort and style. Plush couches, including a cozy corner sectional, offer ample seating options, while a fully equipped galley kitchen, stocked with furnishings, condiments, and even some food items, promises to make every meal a memorable experience.

The wide hallway of the home leads to the three-quarter bath and laundry room, as well as the second bedroom, which features a queen bed, and two XL bunks, built into the wall for stability and comfort. The master en suite, located off the hallway, is a true sanctuary, with its king bed, fireplace, TV, and full bath, complete with a corner tub/shower combo, offering the ultimate in relaxation and rejuvenation.

The Owl and its surrounding porch/deck are exclusively reserved for the use of guests, who are encouraged to bask in the warmth of the sun, soak up the fresh mountain air, or simply relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. Nemo is renowned for its cool mountain air that descends each evening, and for those rare and unexpected warm days, a portable air-conditioner is at hand to ensure guests remain comfortable and refreshed.

During the summer months (June-Sept, 8am-10pm, weather permitting), take a dip in the 40' heated saltwater pool located next to the Freebird Ranch Osprey poolhouse. The poolhouse also boasts a rec room with pool table, foosball, and infrared sauna for all Freebird Ranch guests to enjoy. Take a leisurely stroll along the walking path along Box Elder Creek, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Black Hills.

Nemo is centrally located in the Black Hills, with easy access to cities such as Deadwood, Rapid City, Sturgis, Spearfish, and Hill City, to name a few. The region is rich in popular destinations, including Mount Rushmore, Devil's Tower, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, The Badlands, The Needles, Caves, Spearfish Canyon, Reptile Gardens, Bear Country, and more. And for those who seek the thrill of the great outdoors, the property is bordered by the magnificent Black Hills National Forest and a year-round creek, a true paradise for wildlife and the perfect habitat for the graceful brook trout.
