Overview

Bright and light, this fabulous lower Moonridge cabin is located just minutes from the ski slopes of Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, and is close to the Big Bear Lake and shopping villages. It's the perfect contemporary mountain abode for the guest seeking modern conveniences. This fully-remodeled 1970s gambrel-style home blends contemporary amenities, industrial decor and farmhouse touches for a comfy indoor experience that almost rivals going outdoors in Big Bear. Come here to relax in comfort.
NOTE: SPECIAL SANITIZING AND 24-72 HOURS BTWN GUEST STAYS FOR COVID-SAFETY. Please note, 24hour+ turnaround bookings may be rescinded on holiday weeks when back to back cleaning may be required. The same cleaning protocols will be adhered to but not the optional wait time between guests.

This modernized cabin features two private bedrooms (1 king bed + rollaway single, and 1 queen bed) with a pull-out queen couch in the living room to comfortably accommodate 7. The kitchen includes all necessary pots/pans/utensils for cooking. There are two driveway parking spaces (for 2 regular size vehicles or one SUV/one sedan parked side-by-side). BRAND NEW ROUND HOT TUB FITS 5 ADULT GUESTS! Games/Foosball table for adults and kids, plus a Pack 'n Play with sheets, and dog treats/extras provided. A fenced-in deck in backyard for relaxing in privacy with friends includes the brand new circular hot tub, a BBQ gas grill (April-October) and picnic table and overhead string lights (note: a dog may not be left outside alone/must be monitored; fencing is not secure and barking not allowed to disturb neighbors, plus coyotes live in the 'hood so you can never be too safe). 1024sf so you know the interior size.

House Rules
Please provide an accurate total number in your party when requesting to book, including # of adults (13 and up per Airbnb) and # of children (0-12 yrs). Must be 25 years or older to book (If NOT a family with children 0-24 y.o., larger groups with guests under age 25 are not allowed). If this total count changes, please contact Airbnb directly to update (it's important for Airbnb insurance policy coverage as well as taxes/fees). Add'l overnight guests not mentioned to host in advance of arrival could mean an automatic $200 charge plus extra per guest fees per night as outlined, and may result in immediate reservation cancellation/eviction without refund. Going over 7 person limit will also be reasonable cause for this charge/eviction with no refund. IF BRINGING A DOG, YOU CANNOT INSTANT BOOK, and must provide further info/fee (see below). Not notifying of a dog OR bringing additional dogs other than approved dog without notification will result in an automatic $200 charge and/or possible eviction/cancellation with no refund. There is parking for 2 cars max in the driveway side-by-side (1 SUV/1 regular). There is NO street parking ever. There is a daily county set max of 13 daytime guests which must be pre-approved (still with only 2 vehicles allowed in driveway, but since no large parties are allowed, this wouldn't apply), and 7 overnight guests. Also, do not tamper with or disable any security cams or wifi, or this will also be cause for immediate eviction without refund. Intentionally blocking cameras with body or other objects, can also result in same. They are not inside the house so don't worry, it's not creepy, just for security outside. Basically, be honest and respectful and we are good! :) There is quiet time of 10pm to 8am. This is strictly enforced. This is set by the city. This also includes hot tub area. You must remove all your trash (Garstin dump in BBL is on (Hidden by Airbnb) maps and very close). If you do not, a $25 fee per bag will be deducted from your security deposit. This does not mean putting it in my neighbor’s trash receptacles or outside where animals can get it. $50 fee for every bag put in neighbor’s receptacle or left on street. Please also be respectful of neighbor's property. No trespassing for any reason (for sledding, snowman building, snow angels, etc) allowed. This will be reported to police and can come with six months jail time and a hefty fine, so let's avoid that, shall we? ;) Upon booking, please read the home instructions manual - ie) what to not put down sink garbage disposal to avoid a plumbing fee if it's broken (ie, no bones, potatoes, avocados, etc.) Also, this is a forest. Absolutely NO fire hazards allowed, including no smoking/vaping or 420 inside or around the property (which requires lighting with a match/lighter). Sorry. :( The butane fire starter is for the fireplace only. Any odor removal from smoking or MJ may be reason for an add'l cleaning fee. No weapons are allowed on property. Double check for personal items before departure as they cannot be guaranteed to be returned. SPECIAL NOTE RE: PETS - Happy to host your and your furry family member. However, I need more info on the pet at time of booking request. One well-behaved adult (non-puppy) dog will be considered on a case-by-case basis (must provide proof of vaccines, flea/tick medication regimen and pet photo/breed/age via Airbnb message). We want you to have a happy trip with your pup, but will also require a firm $25 pet fee per night (via Airbnb resolution; I may consider 2 small dogs but again, on a case-by-case basis), plus a $125 additional deposit via resolution for cleaning, used in part or in full if extra cleaning is required by cleaning crew (notified after cleaning; if no add'l cleaning was required, it will be returned). You can avoid this add'l charge by putting down a provided covering on couch if your pup will be sitting on it with you, bringing a dogbed (no sleeping in human bed/fur in human bedding allowed; future guests may have allergies), sweeping up furballs, no indoor accidents by leaving alone all day while you are having fun on the slopes and not letting him/her get a proper walk every 5 hours max (there are nearby recos on Yelp for pet daycare if needed which you can arrange in advance), crating if anxiety prone/destructive while gone (you bring crate), picking up poop on my or neighbor's property and disposing it properly, etc. Basically, please be respectful so you can create the opportunity for more pet vacations for all in the future. Thanks! ps oh and don't try to sneak a dog in, or it will be reason for immediate reservation cancellation and damage charges via Airbnb. Grazie. NOTE RE: SMALL CHILDREN - there are stairs inside and outside the home. No special safety gates or latches are installed so toddlers and babies must be monitored. A GRACO pack-n-play is provided as well as a booster seat/table mat. Please make sure your child doesn’t write on the walls (it happens!) :( Children under 14 are not allowed in hottub, nor anyone under 18 without adult supervision. If you find any amenity missing or not in working order, you must notify host immediately so she can attempt to fix/replace it, as is reasonable. While all is checked regularly, life happens. Major issues (ie, re: appliances) that are unpredictable will be accommodated/fixed as best possible, and/or a reasonable refund offered. Not notifying the host or Airbnb until after the stay and then complaining in a bad review or seeking a refund, will result in multiple years of bad karma. Also, the host is not responsible for unexpected acts of god (ie, a windstorm temporarily knocking out power or wifi). It's the mountains. Go out and enjoy nature. So far, I've only had stellar guests. Just stating the obvious here but be reasonable and kind. Don't be THAT guy who finds fault in all. Namaste. :) Driving mountain roads- During winter months (Nov 1- Apr 1), California law states all vehicles must carry chains. The mountain has unpredictable weather and freezing temperatures where chains could be needed at anytime. Make sure to check with Cal-Trans or CA Highway Patrol for current road conditions. R1-No Restrictions R2- Chains required on all 2WD vehicles on drive wheels, 4WD/AWD must have chains in vehicle. R3- All vehicles must have chains on (even 4WD/AWD) R4- Roads closed except to emergency vehicles. Please note, failure to leave early enough in the morning to avoid heavy traffic or worsening weather conditions until roads close or cause delays is not a reason for cancellation or full refund. Only if ALL 3 access roads to Big Bear ( (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and 18 from Lucerne Valley) are completely shut down between 6am and the 10pm check in time on day of arrival will one day’s refund be offered as roads are usually cleared by the next morning. Be aware that you are driving to a resort town (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) + feet up in the mountains and so are thousands of other people, especially in the peak, holiday season. Think smart, leave early, fill up on gas, bring chains, bring food and water and a blanket to be prepared for long delays and don’t be a “flatlander” that holds up more traffic with parking in a lane for a snowball fight or putting on chains too late up the mountain. Also bring cash ($50 to be safe but may only cost $ (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) to have someone else help you put on those chains if you don’t know how (more if you also need help also taking them off, which is usually easier). Plus invest in a $5 ice scraper for your car at autozone so you don’t get frostbite clearing ice and snow off your car with your hand after it is parked. If the access roads are all closed from dawn on, come up the next day (I will accommodate accordingly), and enjoy the rest of your trip. I promise you, once you make it up to the winter wonderland, you will be happy. :)No smokingNo parties or eventsCheck-in is 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM
