Hi! How are you? :)

The short of it is:
*Beautiful mature neighborhood
*Easy free parking 24/7
*Private Beautiful Entrance
*We are about a 20 minutes to downtown Portland on a larger street. Please try to understand this. Please look at the map of where we are in the city in relation to where you want to go. Please don't book us and give us less than 5 stars for value and location when we have been completely transparent and upfront about our location. Our value absolutely reflects our location, availability and pricing compared to the closer-in guesthouses. The stars mean a lot Airbnb so they mean a lot to us and our relationship with them.
We are 20 minutes driving time not including parking from downtown Portland, Moda Center, The Oregon Zoo, Washington Park, Japanese Garden and the Rose Test Garden. We are an hour away from the beach and Mt. Hood. If there's somewhere you're interested on going please ask :)
*Private entrance to an entirely private space
*No discounts! No dogs (sorry, the cat has epilepsy and if she smells a dog on the premises it may lead to a seizure :/).
*We do charge $10/night per extra guest after 2 people. This includes children but not babies.
*LGBTQ and 420 (outside only) friendly.
*The city of Portland has levied a (draconian) NIGHTLY tax itemized when you pay. This city of Portland tax is levied on every listing with Airbnb and every platform operating within the city of Portland. We did not make this up to charge more money to keep. We never see this money. It is collected by Airbnb directly from ALL listings, is then paid to the City of Portland and cannot be escaped. Sorry!
*A variety of different materials on the walkway to get to the door will greet you upon your arrival. Also the very mature large tree in our yard drops debris often and profusely. We try to sweep as much as possible weather permitting so please watch your step for the debris when walking in and around the property. It's mostly pinecones and pine needles. Please refer to the photos in this listing for more detailed information.
*It's easier to communicate through the app rather than the browser website
*You may occasionally hear us walking around above. We are usually barefoot, socks or slippers.
*Just outside front entry door is a smoking area
*Comfy King 1-bedroom with door
*2nd Queen bed a pull-out in the living room
*Large flat screen TV now with Netflix.
*Wi-Fi (there's an agreement)
*We have a mid century toddlers table and chairs. Also a shark-themed stroller.
*Bike path right in front of space
*Bike storage available separate from space
*Kick-ass fully equipped private kitchen
*Awesome private massive bath with double walk-in shower
*Cool wood tiled kitchen
*Stainless steel appliances
*French press
*Hot tea pot
*Toaster
*2! Waffle makers
*Cool stacked tile double spa shower
*Super comfy robes
*Slippers
*Hair Dryer
*Children's furniture, shark-themed toddler stroller available
*Camp chairs available
*Umbrellas
*High ceilings
*Huge windows
*Lisenced
*No weapons

The long of it is:
The private entrance keypad door to the completely private space is in the lower garden level of a house. There are stairs going down to the entry but no stairs within the space.

We are on a larger street a 20 minutes from city center.

Wifi is available but there is an agreement sent through Airbnb messaging of how it is to be legally used before getting the password.

There's parking that's always free on the street in front of the house that's almost always available if not, it's ok to park in front of other houses but not within 5 feet of any driveway.

This amazing totally private space is the lower garden level of a house that has a private entrance door which is private and separate. It has high ceilings, huge windows and is beautifully appointed. Super comfy!

In the living room there is Netflix on a flat screen.

The beautiful private bedroom, with a door, has a plush king bed. The second bed is a pull out queen in the great room. The large awesome bathroom is private. And apparently if you read the reviews the shower is quite unique!

The one of a kind private kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. We have a french press and electric tea kettle. Filtered water in fridge. Basics like salt, pepper and sugar are in the cabinets. We have dishes, silverware, pots, pans, some kitchen utensils, cookie sheet and cutting knives and 2! waffle makers- one of them heart ♡ shaped. :)

There's a heavy mirror in the entry. It's well-mounted on a bracket.

We have a toddler table and 2 chairs and shark-themed stroller available if needed. They are not usually stored in the space so just ask.

There is a cat on the property, but does not reside in the Airbnb space. She is gray and you may see her in her enclosure outside. Her name is Sheila!

Due to city ordinance we are able to have at most 4 adults per night. Children are not counted so if it's up to 4 adults and children that's ok.

We have a Portland City Permit.

Check in is 4pm and check out 12pm

If you need anything or have any questions, just ask! :) Thanks!

Hello,
Check in is 4pm. Check out 12pm. Park in front of the house if space is available which it usually is. Also please don't park within 5 feet of any driveway. Do not park in front of any yellow curbing.

The walkscore here is 80.
There is a crosstown bus a block and a half away which goes by a huge food pod (VooDoo Doughnuts!) within 10 minutes and a shopping mall within 20 minutes. The downtown bus, the number 14, is about 4 blocks away and takes about a half hour to 45 minutes depending on traffic to get to downtown Portland. It goes through trendy Division Avenue and fun Hawthorne district halfway in between.

The bus system here in the Portland area called Trimet charges 2.50 per adult for 2 hours, $5 day pass and $26 weekly pass. There are no peak hours. You can pay cash on the bus or download payment through the Trimet app on your phone to show the driver.

Lyft and Uber are extremely close by and very available.
Free street parking here 24/7 and there's generally parking in front of the house.
Depending on time day the airport is usually 15-30 minutes away. It's 10 miles away. Always check traffic conditions to have enough time to get to the airport.
The train station and Greyhound/Bolt bus station are located next to each other in downtown Portland about 20 minutes away depending on traffic.

Hope that helps. Let us know if you you have any questions. :)

Portland has levied a nightly tax that you will see when you pay.

No discounts-do not ask. The answer is already no.

We don't have a deposit fee so less surprises when you are being charged. We do however have an extra guest charge: $10/person per night after 2 people which includes children but not babies.

We are a king 1-bedroom. The 2nd bed, a queen is a pull-out in the living room.

It's easier to communicate with us through the app rather than the browser website.

Hi!
Thanks for checking out our profile :)
We live in awesome Portland with our gray cat Sheila. We love it here because there's so many diverse things to do.

We live near a cupcake bakery, coffee shop, breakfast restaurant, a latino food pod, a park and rec center.

Cute Woodstock Village is nearby for everyday needs and restaurants.

Division Street has dozens of fun fantastic restaurants. Hawthorne Boulevard is great for shopping.

The Eastbank Esplanade is great for walking around the Willamette River. If it's summer, Saturday art market willbe there every weekend and in the spring the Rose Fesival with carnival rides, parades and fireworks.

The Chinese Garden and Portland Art Museum downtown are great for docent tours. Try the fun streetcar.
The Pearl near downtown is great for shopping. And so is NW 23rd. Nearby is the world class rose test garden, Japanese Garden, Childrens Museum, World Forestry Center, Hoyt Arboretum and Pittock Mansion.
Omsi a great childrens museum near the Willamette river. Close by is the Oregon Rail Heritage Center and Tilikum Crossing pedestrian only bridge that goes over the river. On the other side is the Aerial tram offering great veiws.
Mt. Hood and the ocean are each about an hour away.
See our photos and Guidebook for more info. :)
