A Wonderful 3 bedroom/2.5 bath 2274 sqft PRIME LAKEFRONT cabin, mid-lake in a wind-sheltered cove, absolute BEST LOCATION ON THE LAKE. Private deepwater dock. Stunning views from all bedrooms and the hot tub, with 3 large decks overlooking the lake, game room with full size Air Hockey, Ping Pong and arcade PAC MAN machine. 3 fireplaces. Recently remodeled. Large front yard for snow play in the wintertime. Sleeps 8-9 (10 if using couches).Thoroughly renovated with high end finishes and a few vintage sporting items for a nod to the cabin's history. All three bedrooms have KING beds and stunning lake views.
This charming updated cabin started as a tent staked in a prime location on the lake nearly 100 years ago! The original one-room fishing cabin became the great room (kitchen, dining and living room with brick fireplace) of a 2 bedroom/1 bath cabin built in the 1950s--this same layout still makes up the heart of the cabin today! In the 1970s a 2-story attached structure was added to significantly enlarg the cabin: upstairs is comprised of a large game room with soaring ceilings, a sleeping loft and a half bath (great for kids!!), while the downstairs holds a roomy private master suite with it's own deck and romantic fireplace, plus a dedicated laundry room for the cabin. The entire home was remodeled, refreshed and updated in 2020-- it's a lovely and comfortable place to make your Big Bear lakefront memories. The two sections of the cabin make it a great set up for two families.
Things to know: House has WIFI and smart TV with cable service, and many apps including Netflix. Fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher and large step-in pantry, suitable for cooking holiday meals. Dining seating for 8 at the table and 4 at the kitchen island. The main deck off the living room offers stunning lakefront views, with several seating areas, dining for 8, and a hot tub for soaking under the stars.

Child friendly
Children welcomed, there is a game room meant for kids (adults too!) with air hockey, ping pong, lots of games. Please note the house is not "baby-proofed" in that there are stairs, unprotected corners, uncovered outlets, toilets and cabinets are not fitted with safety latches. You may wish to bring baby gates The hot tub must be covered and latched when not in use for safety, and children may not use the hot tub unsupervised.

Getting around

A car is best for getting around, this lakefront residential neighborhood is not well-traveled except for residents and guests, and is not frequented by public transportation. Can walk to the Village (1.8 miles) in about 30-45 min, a very nice walk! Driveway parking is available on the property for your group.

House Rules
Thank you for considering our lakefront cabin for your vacation getaway. Please do not hesitate to ask questions in advance about any rule that might benefit from clarification. We want everyone to have a wonderful stay.

No unregistered guests or pets allowed on the property at any time.
Max 6 adults, max total group size is 10 with children.

Per City Ordinance for Short Term Rental Rules:
1. Spa use is only allowed until 10pm. Quiet hours are 10pm - 7am.
2. Music cannot be played/amplified outside day or night--inside playing is ok as long as not heard at property line.
3. No parties or events of any kind allowed without permit from the City.
4. The City of Big Bear Lake requires vacation guests to deposit their trash at one of the City's free 24/7 collection sites/dumpsters on the way out of town so mountain animals can't make a mess of it, as most addresses do not have scheduled trash service. The closest site to our cabin is 39690 Big Bear Blvd (0.4 miles down Big Bear Blvd on the right side after turning from Edgemoor).

Additional Host/owner rules:
No smoking and no drugs of any kind allowed on the property--inside or outside.

There is no sledding permitted on the lakebed (my backyard is ok). There is no walking/trespassing/sledding on private property of the neighbors including their private docks, rocks or yards. You are welcome to fish from my dock (closed in winter) or the lake bed, but not from neighbor's private docks.

One house-trained and friendly dog over 12 months of age is welcomed. No puppies under 12 months. No 2nd (or more) dogs or additional/other kinds of pets allowed unless approved in advance with additional fee. Your Dog must not be left home unattended, and is not allowed on beds or furniture. Please curb after your pup.

Trash: trash bags are provided by host. If you are unable to take trash with you for any reason, my cleaners will make a trash run upon check-out at a fee of $20 per bag. Trash runs can be arranged mid-stay at renter request.

Check out time is scheduled for no later than 11:00am. Due to sufficient time needed to prepare the cabin for our next guests, late check-out is generally not available. There is a miminum $250 fee for overstaying the check-out time without permission, in addition to any costs incurred by host for enforcement. If you find you will be unable to vacate prior to the scheduled check-out time due to an unforeseen emergency, please contact the host right away.

Noncompliance with any house rule above will result in immediate cancellation of full reservation without refund. In addition, guests are responsible for any costs associated with enforcement, including costs of property manager service call when needed to address violations in person (minimum $100), and/or fines issued by City Code Compliance for violations of City Ordinance terms stated above for STRs.

Payment Policy
50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the dates and remove them from the calendar availability. Balance in full due no later than 10 days before stay. If balance is not paid by 10 days prior to travel dates, the reservation and deposit is forfeited and the dates will be reopened for booking. Paypal accepted.

Refundable Damage Deposit
Refunded within 48 hours of check-out minus any necessary deductions for damages, which any deductions will be discussed with guest and documentation provided.
Cancellation Policy
If guest must cancel outside of 10 days, the 2nd half balance is not paid (or will be refunded if already paid) and the dates will be opened for booking on the calendar. The guest deposit is forfeited, however if the dates can be rebooked at same or higher rate, then the guest deposit may be applied to a future stay upon request and approval of the owner. If guest must cancel inside of 10 days, all funds paid are forfeited minus the cleaning fee.

One friendly housetrained dog older than 12 months is welcomed--your dog must not be left alone inside the cabin, and curbing is required.
Fully stocked kitchen for cooking in! Coffee, coffee filters, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil and basic spices are provided for your stay. Pots, pans, cookie sheets, baking pans all included. Dishwasher tabs are included.
Smart TV with cable service and WIFI is included with your stay.
Hot tub hours are 7am-10pm per City Ordinance. The hot tub is serviced and cleaned weekly (usually Thursdays, sometimes Fridays), please note this regularly scheduled maintenance may occur during your stay.
Safety laws require the hot tub cover be replaced and latched/locked whenever the hot tub is unoccupied, and children must never be left unsupervised in or around the hot tub.
Propane BBQ is provided, as well as outdoor-safe dishes for use on the deck.
Snow removal for 2 cars on driveway and walkways to front door will be provided prior to arrival. Additional snow removal during the stay is at guest discretion and responsibility --- contacts of snow removal contractors in the area provided.
Firewood for first night is provided.
Unregistered guests or animals are never permitted, day or night.
Fines imposed by Code Compliance for violation of City STR Ordinance rules are strictly the responsibility of the guest. Violations of any house rules may result in fine and/or cancellation of reservation without refund.
