Overview

Stay in an authentic cedar log cabin and discover rustic luxury in the Cascade Mountains. Welcome to Big Ponderosa Pine. Here, you can golf, ski or simply relax. We are located midway between Leavenworth and Stevens Pass at Kahler Glen Golf and Ski Resort. It is approximately a 25 - 30 minute drive to Leavenworth or Stevens Pass. We are only 2 miles from stunning Lake Wenatchee known for its family-friendly beach and park.This rancher-style log home is great for small groups up to a maximum of 8 people. It offers two levels for privacy and comfort. You'll enjoy the tranquility of the Washington Cascade mountains, yet find that we are close to many activities and town festivals for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Our cabin sits mountainside nestled among large spruce, fir and ponderosa pine trees. The outdoor deck area provides peaceful views. Even though we are located in a golf course resort, you will still feel a sense of space and feel the presence of nature.

The main floor consists of 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and deck. You'll find it spacious, yet cozy. Your family can gather around the warm and inviting river rock gas fireplace. Our kitchen is great for entertaining with granite counter tops and convenient breakfast bar area. It is well stocked with many amenities cooks will love. The dining room seats 8 people. The lower level offers additional sleeping area and rec-room.

This location is not convenient for taking the Amtrak to Leavenworth. A car is required.

Guests will be provided information for self check-in. During winter months, guests will be asked to provide vehicle make/model and license plate for all vehicles for parking and access requirements.

Minimum age limit for renters: 25
A copy of driver's licence of primary renter is required.
House Rules
A copy of house rules (rental agreement) will be emailed to you. Securing a reservation of this property through Houfy (direct) is evidence of your acknowledgement and acceptance of said agreement.

• No more than the specified and agreed upon number of people in your reservation request. The community golf course resort has strict occupancy rules. Additional people, visitors or pets without written consent of the owner will result in an assessment of additional fees or forfeit of the security deposit at the discretion of the owner.
• No smoking

• Standard check-in is anytime after 4:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM
• Winter reservations (Thanksgiving through March): In snow and icy conditions, it is REQUIRED to have traction tires (all-season minimum) and a 4-wheel drive vehicle to go down our steep driveway. The owner will not be held responsible for any costs associated with needing to tow stuck vehicles.
• Renter and their guests agree to follow all parking recommendations provided by the owner.
• No smoking, fires or fireworks of any kind.
• Guests are expected to treat the house with respect and follow the community golf course resort rules. A full list of golf course resort rules is provided in the house binder.
• No subletting
• The owner is not responsible for any accidents, illness or personal loss that may occur while on the property by the guest or other guests they may invite to the property.
• Daily housekeeping is not provided. The cleaning fee covers laundry and light post-stay tidy. Longer stays will require additional cleaning service mid-way through a reservation.
• Winter reservations: Sledding is strictly prohibited down the driveway.

Security Deposit, damage and excessive cleaning policy:

• Security deposits collected are refunded either through the booking website’s* specified rules and timelines or typically 7 – 14 business days post-stay in the same manner as the renter paid.
• Security deposit can be used in part or full when guests disregard house rules.
• Direct reservations: Security deposit must be paid minimum 14 days prior to arrival. If it is not paid the owner reserves the right to cancel the reservation and the cancellation policy applies.

• If additional time or labor is needed beyond a standard norm to reset the house as you found it, charges for this labor will be passed onto the renter. Security deposit can be used for these additional cleaning fees. If applicable, said charges are agreed to be paid through a booking website’s resolution center.* Examples include, but are not limited to: needing to wash dirty dishes, pots, pans; cleaning the oven, appliances or kitchen surfaces as a result of burnt food, grease or unsightly spills; removing stains from carpets or upholstery, disposal of garbage and/or food left behind; needing to pick up and return toys/games to where you found them, sweeping up unusual amount of mess (cheerios, confetti etc.) returning moved furniture.

• Guests are held responsible for any damage or loss they may cause during their stay. Liability is not limited to the amount of the deposit. If damage exceeds the cost of the amount of the deposit, the renter agrees to pay the full cost of replacement or repair of the damaged items.
• The renter will forfeit the full security deposit or agrees to pay the security deposit if the reservation is made through a booking website* for replacement/repair of items damaged or stolen or for extermination of mice/bugs as a result of doors being left unlocked or ajar.

Parking:

• Parking is limited and assigned to the two-car garage and space in front of the garage. We have a shared driveway for access with neighbors. Renters agree to abide by parking instructions provided by the owner and not to block the driveway or neighbor’s parking spaces. We are unable to accommodate parking for RVs.

Checking out:

• The cleaning fee is primarily for laundry and light post-stay tidy. We request that prior to your departure you remove your food, garbage and recycling, load the dishwasher and start it and check that the house is closed up and secure.
• There is a minimum $25.00 fee for non-compliance.

Payment Policy
Payment in full at time of booking. The name of the person making the reservation must match the name on credit card or PayPal account. The security deposit is not included in the quoted amount. Security deposits are invoiced separately and must be paid a minimum of 14 days prior to arrival. If it is not paid within 14 days, the owner cancels the reservation and the cancellation policy applies. Security deposits are refunded in the same manner paid 7 - 14 days post stay.

Refundable Damage Deposit

Cancellation Policy
Travelers who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund.
Notes
Additional guests or visitors beyond your reservation request are not permitted. Our community association has strict occupancy rules.

A copy of the "house rules" also known as our rental agreement as listed here in Houfy (direct) will be emailed to you.

There is no cable TV. However, free wireless internet is included in your stay and we have an extensive DVD collection and Netflix, so you can sit back and watch movies.
