Changed your mind? Re-enable a cancelled scheduled message

If you cancelled a scheduled message on a reservation by mistake, you can now turn it back on — as long as it hasn't already passed its send time.

Última atualização 25 de agosto de 2026

When a reservation has automated messages queued for the guest, the reservation page shows a Scheduled Messages section listing them, each with a status: Scheduled, Sent, or Cancelled. If you do not see the section, this reservation has no scheduled messages - that is normal for bookings imported from an external calendar such as Airbnb or Vrbo, which never trigger scheduled messages. The section is visible to the listing owner and cohosts only.

When you cancel a scheduled message, it stops being sent and shows as Cancelled. With Re-enable, you can undo a cancellation and put the message back in the queue so it sends at its original scheduled time.

How to re-enable a message

1. Open the reservation and scroll to the Scheduled Messages section.

2. Find the message showing the grey Cancelled badge.

3. Click the three-dots menu next to it and choose Re-enable.

4. Confirm in the popup. The popup shows when the message will next go out and a preview of what it says.

That's it. The badge flips from Cancelled back to Scheduled, and the message will be delivered to your guest at its scheduled time.

Good to know

Re-enable only appears on cancelled messages that can still be sent. If a message's send time has already passed, it can't be re-enabled, so the option won't show. In that case, you can create or send a new message instead.

If you had personalized the message for that one guest before cancelling it, your personalized text is kept when you re-enable it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I find the Re-enable option?

Open the reservation, go to the Scheduled Messages section, and click the three-dots menu next to a message with the Cancelled badge. If the message can still be sent, Re-enable will be there.

Why don't I see Re-enable on a cancelled message?

Re-enable only shows for cancelled messages whose send time is still in the future. If the scheduled date has already passed, the message can no longer be sent, so the option is hidden. Messages triggered by the moment of booking or by an inquiry, rather than by a specific date, also cannot be re-enabled.

Will re-enabling change the message or when it sends?

No. It keeps the same scheduled time and the same content, including any personalized text you saved for that guest. It simply turns the message back on.

Can I cancel it again after re-enabling?

Yes. A re-enabled message goes back to Scheduled, so you can edit or cancel it again just like any other queued message.

Does re-enabling send the message right away?

No. It returns to the queue and goes out at its normal scheduled time, not immediately. If you want it to go out now, re-enable it first - the badge flips back to Scheduled - then open the three-dots menu again, choose Edit, and click Send now in that popup. Send now delivers within a minute. There is no Send now on a cancelled message.
