Question 1

What is a Houfy cohost?

Accepted Answer

A cohost is another Houfy member who helps you manage your vacation rental — anything from guest messaging to full-service operations — while you stay the listing owner.

Question 2

How much does it cost to invite a cohost?

Accepted Answer

Houfy doesn't charge for cohost invites. Any fee arrangement between you and your cohost is handled directly between you — Houfy doesn't process cohost payments today.

Question 3

What can a cohost see or do on my listing?

Accepted Answer

A cohost you invite gets access to that listing once they accept — sending the invite on its own grants nothing. By default they can message your guests, work with your calendar and pricing, and accept, decline or cancel bookings on that listing. Editing your listing's content and photos is off unless you switch it on, and new invites never include your payout settings. A cohost added before September 2026 may already have payout access — check the listing's Owner Details page, where you can switch it off or remove a cohost at any time.

Question 4

How is this different from adding a cohost by email?

Accepted Answer

Find a Cohost lets you browse cohosts who have made themselves available, then invite them without knowing their email address. The access it grants is exactly the same as an email invite — same settings, same Owner Details page to change or revoke it.
