Does Houfy send payment reminders to my guest?

Yes. Houfy emails your guest five automatic reminders for an unpaid balance, from the due date to the day before check-in, and copies you from the third one on. They are sent from automated@houfy.com and can land in spam.

Yes. If your guest still owes a balance on a confirmed reservation, Houfy emails them automatic reminders - five in total, starting on the payment due date and ending the day before check-in. You are copied in from the third reminder onwards. The guest's email is subject-lined "Reminder payment due on [date] for stay at [listing]" and carries a Pay Due Amount button that takes them straight to the payment page. Your copy is a separate email — "Payment reminder of [amount] has been sent to [guest]" — showing the property, check-in and checkout dates, the due date, guest count, total and reservation code.

This applies to guests paying manually. If your guest agreed to automatic payment at booking, Houfy charges the balance on the due date instead and sends no reminders.

These messages are sent from automated@houfy.com and can land in a guest's spam folder, so it is worth messaging them directly as well.

For the full schedule, who receives each reminder, and how to stop them, see Balance due payment reminders.
