How can I cancel a reservation as a host?
Open the reservation, use Change reservation then Cancel Reservation, and confirm with a reason. Cancelling clears the blocked dates on your calendar; refunds are separate, from the Completed Payments rows.

Guests look forward to their trips, but we understand when hosts may need to cancel. Please message the guest as soon as possible so they can find another place to stay.
Log in and open Menu > Reservations.
Open the reservation you want to cancel and click Reservation Details.
Click Change reservation (on some bookings this button reads Change the booking).
On the change page, click Cancel Reservation and confirm. The confirmation panel warns that cancelling will clear the blocked dates on your calendar, and that refunds are handled separately from Completed Payments. Write a short reason in the Reason box, then click Confirm Cancellation.
If the booking is confirmed and has no balance outstanding, you can also cancel straight from the reservation details page using the Cancel this booking button, without going through the change page.
After the cancellation, go to the Completed Payments section of the reservation details page and click Refund on each payment to return the amount you agreed with your guest. Each row in that column has its own Refund button, including the security deposit, so refund them one by one rather than expecting a single total.
Payments tagged Outside Houfy have no Refund button - return those the way you collected them.
