Blue Ridge Mountains vacation rentals

Peggy and Mike’s place is an absolute gem. It is immaculately clean, beautifully decorate, perfectly located, and expertly hosted. Everything is even better than the pictures! I was a bit apprehensive about booking a place where the hosts were onsite, but I must say that having Mike and Peggy there only added to the experience. They recommend restaurants, sights, and local attractions, and they were super hospitable without being intrusive. The lake and mountain views are breathtaking. We loved walking out the door and jumping in the lake or hopping on the kayak or paddle board. Everything about it was excellent. This one is a winner for sure!

This place was the perfect two day stay for me and my fiancé before heading off to Lockn’ Festival. Only 25 minutes from the festival grounds, and secluded enough in the woods. Pure silence at night, except for the peepers which is so relax. Our host was wonderful! She answered any question we had while still respecting your privacy, and checked in on us (via message) to make sure our stay was up to our standards. The place was super clean, smelt great (just like a woody cabin), and so much attention to small details to make your stay easy. You really only need to show up with your clothes and any food you want to eat, that’s it. Gold star for this awesome spot and can’t wait to hopefully return. - Anybody going to Lockn Festival in the future years: this is the perfect couple night stay before the festival. Wood Ridge Brewery was super cool, only 15 mins away. And the ladies who work at the Exxon gas station (15 mins away off of 29) were so nice to us, and literally made us the most bomb breakfast sandwiches on biscuits! Perfect stop before heading off to Lockn’!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

(Input from owner via copied email review from Dennis) Good afternoon Paul. Got back from Charlotte yesterday and appreciate the call. Top drawer and exceptional cleanliness at your cabin. Cannot say how nice our stay and trip was to enjoy the family wedding and proximity to the venue where held, at Chestnut Farm. Had gathering at The Appalachian which was nice and good food for everyone to enjoy! Would like to mention that Houfy has not corrected the prior issues we encountered and was a bit frustrating. All correspondence received was by you personally and was grateful for that. Otherwise, you would have heard from me direct as any of the links they sent were unable to open and the same old “not authorized to enter site” from screen shot I sent earlier. I will definitely not be using them in the future and would encourage others to do the same for they have not reached out to me to try and absolve the issues as of today. The route of I-40 North from just outside Asheville is a huge mess due to construction and we redirected ourselves around through some of it, but many in our wedding party from Georgia and Florida were hammered by hour and half delays in stop and go traffic on Thursday & Friday. We made our way back from your cabin via Gatlinburg and Maggie Valley which added another thirty minutes return but escaped the parking lot traffic South on I-40 that we witnessed on the way up! May want to advise future guest in that regard. Would have enjoyed one of your former C-130’s or C-141’s to drop me in with a tandem jump……. beautiful weather and scenery! We were three couples celebrating 60th and 70th birthdays and the house was perfect for our 3 night stay. Each couple had their own space/floor with separate bathrooms. Kitchen was fully equipped with anything you would need for cooking… there were tons of dishes, glasses, coffee cups, etc. There were extra trash bags, dish liquid, hand soap, laundry detergent, toilet tissue and plenty of towels. The only thing we really needed was paper towels and we did have to hand wash silverware because there wasn’t that much of it. The fireplace was on a timer and was simple to turn on. One couple used the hot tub and said it was great. There were extra towels for it as well. We had rainy weather so didn’t get to take advantage of the fire pit but there were 8 chairs around it so it would have been nice. The cabin had a great view and would be fabulous in “leaf season”. The road to the cabin and driveway was paved and parking was ample for our 3 cars and it was easy to get in and out of. We were less than 5 miles to Helen so it was perfect for shopping and people watching from King Ludwig Biergarten. Also close to Cleveland for groceries and such. Rental process was very easy and the owners checked in with us after we arrived. The instruction binder told us all we needed to know about the house rules and check out process. Overall the accommodations and experience were great and we would stay here again!

As a first time VRBO renter, I was a little nervous about the process. All my fears were put to rest with the owners of this cabin. They were really wonderful to do business with. We arrived at the cabin later than expected, and the owners called to check on us to make sure everything was alright. The gps took us right to it, and the driveway itself is a little steep, but the parking area was large and level, and you are rewarded with a spectacular view! The cabin was very clean, and larger than the pictures showed. We planned most of our meals at the cabin, and I was happy to see everything I was going to need in the cabinets in the kitchen. The hot water worked great (a pet peeve of mine) and the water pressure was pretty good in the showers. The beds were firm but comfortable, and we all slept great. The owners provided extra blankets/pillows in both bedrooms in case we needed them. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms, also. There were a few other cabins close by, but you couldn't see them because of the woods between us, and it was very private. The hot tub was nice and hot waiting on us when we arrived, which was such a nice surprise! We traveled with our 2 children, one of whom is still very small and we set up her pack-n-play in our bedroom with plenty of room. We did have an issue with the dryer while we were there, but the owner was quick to find a solution to make sure we were taken care of. The cabin is in a really convenient location, being just a few minutes from Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, and an easy 20 minutes or so from Gatlinburg. Being a VRBO newbie, I asked a ton of questions, and I was always answered in a very polite, timely manner. They really made the stay at the cabin very pleasant! We enjoyed it so much, I asked the owners what other properties they had in case we brought more people with us next time! Like I said, a wonderful experience and I don't think you can go wrong with this property! We will definitely be back!

Looking online for a reasonably priced place to stay for a few days over Valentines Day weekend was starting to look a little bleak when Alemaigne Haus came up in the search. I almost couldn't believe the hype....the pictures and the descriptions sounded amazing for such a great price! After a few easy email exchanges with the owners, Terry and Gary, plans were finalized. We arrived Friday afternoon and the owners were waiting for us - with a personalized bottle of wine and a collection of yummy chocolates! They told us a bit about the property and showed us around and then left us to begin our vacation, which was made so easy at this lovely getaway. We needed nothing - there was already split firewood and a firestarter log for us to use in the fireplace, a list of all the special events around town (this is why we went ziplining!) a binder with local menus, a stack of activity fliers, and on and on. There were even items in the fridge and pantry for us to use if we wanted! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc and all the appliances were new and in great condition. Actually, everything was new and in great condition. The two bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed and the three full baths were stocked with big fluffy towels and great lighting. This awesome home was close to everything in Helen and the views were inspiring. We watched turkeys in the morning and found evidence of deer on our walk to the creek directly below the cabin. We spent time on the deck one beautiful morning and just really enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We expect to go back again and again as this is a great deal on a great property with great owners.

This vacation rental is truly a “home away from home” place to stay! Comfort, peacefulness, and convenience are some of the words that best describe it. The owner, Stacey, has thought of everything to make your time there be inviting and enjoyable! From snacks on the kitchen table upon arrival, notes throughout with helpful information, and a vegetable garden and some quail in the backyard, there’s every reason to feel welcome. Thanks for being a top-notch host, Stacey!!

This is a great rental. It's very clean!!! The area in just up the hill from the center of town yet very quiet. It felt very safe too considering the police department is at the base of the hill. They list a pool but the pool they're referring to is at a water park you pay to get in. Also, the bathroom upstairs is a Jack and Jill bathroom shared between the two bedrooms. The jets to the tub are on a wall farthest away from the tub so you have to get out to turn them on and off. The water heater isn't big enough to fill the tub with hot water. The shower downstairs listed as the second bathroom was so small my 5 year old wouldn't get in. It's literally like half a foot to a foot wide. I'm not sure why it's even there other than to list as two bathrooms to sell the townhouse for more rent. It really is an emaculate place, not speck of dust to be found. We met the owner when we got there which I found unusual considering they could just give us the code but he went over all the rules and the information on the town. They supplied coffee, creamer, sugar, washing detergent and ANYTHING you could ever need in a kitchen. Plus, there is a gas grill and a place to sit outside, a screened in porch, a sunroom and then a living room. The dining room is next to the kitchen with a bar area for two. We like to keep the temperature really cool, especially at night and the place stayed perfectly crisp and cool for us. The owners are great hosts and other than a few logistical issues (mentioned above) we had a GREAT time! I would reccomend renting from them after knowing about the bathrooms and such.
