South Carolina vacation rentals

We stayed at Kristen's villa over spring break/Easter weekend. We've come to HHI many times over the years and it's a special place for our family, but we've never stayed at the Beach and Tennis club until this time. There were a lot of options for rental villas but I specifically chose Kristen's because it was nicely updated, decorated so cute in a beach theme, had all the extra equipment for beach days so we didn't have to lug it from home AND Kristen is an amazingly organized hostess with a super online guest guide and prompt communication. It's all the little details that made our stay extra special. We also loved that it was on the 3rd floor because the extra stairs helped us work off all the food we ate all week - haha! We did have a few terribly cold days but we didn't let it ruin our time with our family and friends. The resort itself also has everything you'd need - a super quick walk to the beach, huge pool, pool bar and restaurant, two other restaurants, on site bike rentals, laundry, tennis and pickleball. We had tons to do! If only the resort would heat the pool and add a hot tub I'd probably buy a villa of our own! Until then, I'd choose Kristen's HHI Tide 21 villa again over all the other choices for sure! Thank you for your hospitality!

Where do I begin? Our beach stay at the Marejo was a wonderful experience. Felt at home as soon as we walked through the doors. The home is just as pictured. Plenty of room. We enjoyed the screened porch with the rockers and game table. The only difficulty was on the day it decided to really get hot and the air did not want to keep up with the heat. All it took was a text message and the service man (who was exceptionally nice, he and my husband chatted and chatted)was there in hardly no time at all. Donna and Ralph were very attentive to our needs. Although we really didn't have any needs,( things were great.), I just wanted to mention the attentiveness and the quick response just in case those reading this review had any reservations about renting. Being able to set up our belongings on the beach and leave them there without concern of them being taken is a big plus. We could go back and forth and even went out to eat and our things were still there. Being able to bring our doggie is a plus too. She absolutely loves the ocean. I could just go on and on about our week at the Marejo. It was absolutely amazing and we really did feel at home. Thank you Donna for sharing your home. May God continue to bless you and your family. LOVED this condo! It's not huge, but that comes with the territory. They did an amazing job with their updates and optimizing the space so it was functional and didn't feel crowded. Also, the decor is just perfect - it truly feels like a beach getaway! It was also super helpful that they provided beach towels, toys, and chairs - not all rentals do. This condo building is also much nicer overall than some of the others nearby. I appreciated the gated entry and it's so quiet and peaceful with a perfect view of the beach. The bikes are also a HUGE bonus, won't ever make a trip to Hilton Head in the future without them! Kendall was super helpful and responsive. We actually wound up staying HH longer than planned and booked the day before, and she made it happen! Extremely smooth process, great hosts, clean, beautiful condo. Looking forward to our next trip!

We enjoyed our stay at Villamare. Location is wonderful. Beautiful sunrises and walks on the beach right outside your door. Condo is beautifully decorated and space provided everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Was wonderful having the beach chairs, cooler and buggy available to bring down to the beach. Host was very responsive in communication and let us know the outdoor pools opened up earlier than expected on 3-30. The golf was amazing….beautiful courses! We rented a pontoon across the way in Shelter cove for an enjoyable afternoon on the water. Lots of really great restaurants nearby. Loved Scott’s, Fishcamp, Skull Creek, Poseidon, Social Bakery in the mornings. Recommend reservations. Quarter Deck in Harbor Town was a sweet spot by the lighthouse for drinks and apps one afternoon. So many nice options for outdoor water view dining with great food and music. Enjoyed a beautiful breathtaking Easter Sunrise service on Coligny beach. Made trips to Beaufort, Bluffton and Savannah for possible retirement spots and of course being right in Palmetto Dunes to experience all that is available there. Met lots of lovely people. So much to do and see in a short time. Our original plans to be there with our children/grandchildren over Easter changed due to unforeseen illness preventing one of them from traveling but we still were able to make the most of our time there. Hopefully we can plan it again for another time and would love to book here again!

We really enjoyed our first visit to Hilton Head and our stay at this South Forest Beach property. After a longer than anticipated and stressful day of travel, our entry to the complex and unit was well-communicated, easy, and welcoming. Much appreciated! Everything was super clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for our needs - lots of walkability and easy distances to golf courses, etc. with our rental car. We didn't really have any problems with our stay but if we would have, we knew that the host was quickly accessible via messaging. A couple of things to note for experienced VRBO, etc. users: While all dinnerware, utensils, cookware, etc. were provided, there are next to no sundry items, i.e., salt & pepper, cooking oil, coffee beyond 2 servings (no creamer), shower products beyond small hotel sizes, toilet paper beyond 1.5 rolls, etc. Thus, if you want to prepare meals "at home" you will need to purchase the basics as well as your foodstuffs and some additional necessities. While all of this might be the norm for some guests, it was unusual for us - we were glad we had a car. Also, this unit is small - please do look at the square footage when booking (we did not). The space felt more like a modified studio vs. a 1-bedroom apartment. Even for just 2 people who are quite fond of one another (-:, it wasn't a lot of room for a full week's stay. Again, this might be okay for others and it ended up being good learning for us as we look to purchase a snowbird getaway home in the future. Overall, a 5-star rating for cleanliness, location, communication, accuracy in photos, etc. The drawbacks mentioned are largely due to our own realizations but are included to hopefully help others.

The property is essentially on the beach as you just walk out of the back parking area to a boardwalk that leads to the beach. Takes about a minute. Beautiful beach that goes on for miles. Plenty of area to spread out. About a 2 mile walk on the beach to reach the Sea Pines. Coligny Square is about a mile walk on the beach. Bring a credit card and you can buy a drink at the beach bar at Coligny Square. The unit is as advertised. Be aware that the door from the hallway opens into the bedroom. The queen mattress is very comfortable. The unit is well equipped with the essentials. When we arrived, the manager, Kendall, had left us a bottle of wine and cookies! Nice touch. We had 2 sets of bath towels, 2 dish tabs and 2 rolls of toilet paper. With staying a week I believe 4 dish tabs and 3 rolls of toilet paper would be more realistic. There were a couple of maintenance issues that were resolved quickly. Good communication with Kendall. 2 beach chairs and beach umbrella were on the deck for our use. There is an outside shower by the bicycle area to wash yourself and feet before entering the building. I highly recommend staying in this area as you are central to many fun activities.

We were looking for a place close to the beach for us (30s) and our 2 young kids (4 & 5 years old.) This villa was a nice stay! Very close to the beach which made it easy for us to pack up the provided water toys/cooler/beach buggie, etc. Owner was very prompt and provided very clear instructions for us. King size bed was nice and the living/kitchen area contained the couch which was a pull out bed for the kids. The pool was very nice and clean, not too busy. Elevator near by made for easy access with full hands and kiddos. We were missing Bluetooth speaker, kitchen utensils but as soon as we let them know they were on it! Which was after our stay because we were just too busy having fun! There was a slight mildew smell which I think may have come from the older AC unit on the balcony. It seems to leak all over the carpeted balcony, leaving it moist and uncomfortable to walk on each time we wanted to go out onto it. Overall was a very nice stay and I hope the AC unit/balcony can be repaired soon!

This condo is just darling, and has every amenity you could possibly need. The community has the biggest pool on the island, plus two bars and a restaurant, and is located within a ton of restaurants and shops. We stayed at HHI Beach & Tennis Resort two years ago but not this unit, and this one has a far better view. Waking up every morning to the sun coming up and flooding the living area, and seeing the moonrise over the water with its reflection shining on the balcony. The lighthouse display is really cute too. Lots of places to plug in your USB chargers, or you can just use theirs. Didn't use the kitchen except for the fridge but the layout was basic and clean. The TV in the living room is huge, and the bed was very comfortable. We used the bottom bunk to put our suitcases, and the top bunk for all the pillows they offer. The bathroom is small but other units have a door where their shelf unit is. But the rain showerhead and handheld unit was a special touch we appreciated. There's been other things they have done to this place that make it more spacious and offers storage. The little shelves in the bedroom and the phone chargers with slots to put your phone, the side table with hidden USB ports, the cacophony of USB cables on the bottom of the lighthouse display for a start. It was very quiet in October, and when I was enjoying the pool I noticed a steady stream of people heading to the beach with their wagons similar to what the hosts have on their balcony. We
