Tennessee vacation rentals

(Input from owner via copied email review from Dennis) Good afternoon Paul. Got back from Charlotte yesterday and appreciate the call. Top drawer and exceptional cleanliness at your cabin. Cannot say how nice our stay and trip was to enjoy the family wedding and proximity to the venue where held, at Chestnut Farm. Had gathering at The Appalachian which was nice and good food for everyone to enjoy! Would like to mention that Houfy has not corrected the prior issues we encountered and was a bit frustrating. All correspondence received was by you personally and was grateful for that. Otherwise, you would have heard from me direct as any of the links they sent were unable to open and the same old “not authorized to enter site” from screen shot I sent earlier. I will definitely not be using them in the future and would encourage others to do the same for they have not reached out to me to try and absolve the issues as of today. The route of I-40 North from just outside Asheville is a huge mess due to construction and we redirected ourselves around through some of it, but many in our wedding party from Georgia and Florida were hammered by hour and half delays in stop and go traffic on Thursday & Friday. We made our way back from your cabin via Gatlinburg and Maggie Valley which added another thirty minutes return but escaped the parking lot traffic South on I-40 that we witnessed on the way up! May want to advise future guest in that regard. Would have enjoyed one of your former C-130’s or C-141’s to drop me in with a tandem jump……. beautiful weather and scenery! As a first time VRBO renter, I was a little nervous about the process. All my fears were put to rest with the owners of this cabin. They were really wonderful to do business with. We arrived at the cabin later than expected, and the owners called to check on us to make sure everything was alright. The gps took us right to it, and the driveway itself is a little steep, but the parking area was large and level, and you are rewarded with a spectacular view! The cabin was very clean, and larger than the pictures showed. We planned most of our meals at the cabin, and I was happy to see everything I was going to need in the cabinets in the kitchen. The hot water worked great (a pet peeve of mine) and the water pressure was pretty good in the showers. The beds were firm but comfortable, and we all slept great. The owners provided extra blankets/pillows in both bedrooms in case we needed them. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms, also. There were a few other cabins close by, but you couldn't see them because of the woods between us, and it was very private. The hot tub was nice and hot waiting on us when we arrived, which was such a nice surprise! We traveled with our 2 children, one of whom is still very small and we set up her pack-n-play in our bedroom with plenty of room. We did have an issue with the dryer while we were there, but the owner was quick to find a solution to make sure we were taken care of. The cabin is in a really convenient location, being just a few minutes from Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, and an easy 20 minutes or so from Gatlinburg. Being a VRBO newbie, I asked a ton of questions, and I was always answered in a very polite, timely manner. They really made the stay at the cabin very pleasant! We enjoyed it so much, I asked the owners what other properties they had in case we brought more people with us next time! Like I said, a wonderful experience and I don't think you can go wrong with this property! We will definitely be back!

I will highly recommend this property! One disclaimer first, before all the awesome stuff: The property is on top of a hill, and parts of the (paved) road up to the top are narrow, windy, and steep. A nervous driver might not be comfortable with the road, and I personally might reconsider in wintery months on the chance of snow or poor weather. (But my front wheel drive Toyota Highlander did just fine in June.) The disclaimer aside, EVERYTHING else is FANTASTIC! Dawn and Steve communicate quickly, are very considerate of the renters, and pay attention to small details within the cabin. They take care to offer a clean and livable property. They offer wifi, tv and steaming services. Dawn and Steve also are busy updating the property to make it even more fantastic. (In June, 2021 they just installed a brand new hot tub and also an arcade style video console with 60 games that my whole family loved.) The highlight (for us) of the entire property, however, is the view from the decks. We ate breakfast outside each morning, we played evening board games on the decks, and we even watched a distant storm over the distant hills from the top deck one night. VERY cool. The property is the right combination of conveniently located while a bit remote. And there are two neighboring cabins (one on each side), but there is enough space between that this property is quite private. I recommend this property. Enjoy your stay!

My sister and I brought our mom down to Nashville for her 60th birthday. This house was the perfect location and had all of the amenities we needed. If you have a car, it's a great spot to just jump on the road to places like Loveless Cafe, the Opry, Belle Meade, Bluebird Cafe. It's also only a 10 minute Uber ride to downtown if you shouldn't be driving. ;) Property was clean and comfortable. We loved hanging out on the porch in our downtime. Robert was very good about answering questions and responding promptly. I would highly recommend!

Dabney's Cottage is immaculate. Very clean but true to photos and well stocked. Dabeny's cottage has everything you could possibly need (ie i was easily able to make eggs one morning with the frying pan, spatula, and there was also a microwave neatly tucked away in a cabinet that let me pop popcorn) and beyond the kitchen being stocked with cookware items, the towels in the bathroom were of high quality and fluffy, the bathroom had body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The bed had freshly cleaned soft sheets that felt like a hug! lots of pillows that made me feel as though I was renting a room in a luxe 5 star resort. This is only my 2nd time using airbnb and my first experience was not the best so I was a bit hesitant to book this cottage but Dabney's cottage erased any fears I had. Please please take advantage of that hammock, as the gorgeous scent of the trees and the clean air out in Thompson Station was breathtaking. THANK YOU DABNEY!

If you are considering a trip to the Nashville area and looking for a place to stay, look no further! This place was amazing and the property hosts, Stacy and Rob, were incredible. They were very friendly and accommodating. If you've read about their place and are concerned about them living upstairs, I want to put your fears to rest. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great time, without being in the way, and certainly didn't bother us in any way. It's evident to my wife and I that they take great pride in their rental and in their care for their guests. About the place: We loved the fact that it was not too close to downtown, and situated in a beautiful community, which we enjoyed walking every day. It will take about 35 minutes to drive downtown, but I promise you won't be disappointed with the location of this place. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake, and I don't think pictures do it justice. Absolutely beautiful! The hot tub was perfectly located inside the screened in patio. The living space was perfect for my wife and I, and again, the hosts didn't miss any details. We brought our own Keurig coffee supplies since we like to brew our own ground coffee. To our surprise they had that covered, with the single use cup and filters for your own coffee. Guess we could've left ours at home. Honestly, there wasn't much that we needed to bring. They covered all the bases. I could go on and on, but will stop for now. It was a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary week, and hope to do it again in the future!

This stay was absolutely perfect. I really value having backups for anything I might forget, and this house had it all — from kitchen tools and extra towels to batteries, Q-tips, and full bathroom kits with toothbrushes, razors, cotton pads, feminine care items, and more. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, which gave me total peace of mind. The home was spacious, spotless, and so comfortable. The integrated AC/heating system was powerful and kept the whole house at the perfect temperature, the washer/dryer were high quality, and the hot tub was a great size for relaxing. For fun, there were cards, a Super Nintendo, and a huge Roku TV. Outside, we enjoyed the grill, fire pit, hammock, large fridge, two bathrooms, and a huge shaded balcony surrounded by trees. It truly felt like heaven — comfortable, fun, and prepared in every way. Highly recommended! If you forget something for personal care, they have it. If you need an appliance in the kitchen, they have it. You name it.

This cabin is cozy, warm and a great place for any person/family to temporarily call home. This cabin is peaceful. We felt one with nature and received a well deserved vacation away from any distraction. It was a joy to hear crickets and smell a wood burning fire by the pit. I was never tempted to respond to any of my electronic devices. It was a relief. The entire home is modern and very comfortable. The deck was my favorite of all places. The lights and the swing was the best place my mom and I gathered nightly to enjoy the sounds of nature. Thank you to our host who gave us precise instructions and made this vacation a success. We will be back next year.
