Upper Barn, 2 Cabins | sleeps 11 on 4.5 acres - Merrill

Friedenswald is a spacious Upper Barn + 2 cozy cabins with a total of 6 beds & 2 bathrooms with towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.(sleeps 11).

The barn has a kitchenette with a full size fridge, two burner hot plate, Double ninja toaster oven with recipe book. Toaster, microwave, coffee pot, cooking utinsels, pots and pans, and dishes for 7. Heat or AC.

The cabins have a french press coffee maker and a small fridge. Dishes for 2. Cabins have heat and AC. Cabins are 50 yards from the bathrooms.

Enjoy outdoor spaces, ponds ( intended for wildlife and visual enjoyment or choose to jump in at your own risk), wooded paths, 2 fire pits, gas grill, a covered pavilion with an out door kitchen with sink, microwave and mini fridge, & a binzebo with a wood fired chimnea.

Relax & unwind in this peaceful, one-of-a-kind upper barn (not handicap accessible) stay in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Blending rustic charm with modern comfort, this kid-friendly retreat features an outdoor play area & a whimsical playhouse.

The memorable architecture includes a stunning spiral stairway, crafted from trees harvested on our 4.5-acre property, leading up through a reclaimed silo. Every detail at Friedenswald tells a story. (The spiral stairway is not handicap accessible.)

The barn features a king-size bed enclosed by a folding wall for visual privacy (wall does not reach the ceiling). In addition, there are three Murphy beds—a queen, full, and twin—allowing up to seven adults to sleep comfortably in the barn space.

When you rent the entire space with the cabins your party has access to the lower-level bathroom, Silo Library, entryway, and laundry room with no need to share with others on the property.

Guests can enter through the entrance leading to the iconic silo, where a winding spiral staircase takes you to the expansive upper barn. Your private space. With 1,500 sq. feet of open-concept space, there’s plenty of room to relax and unwind.

As you ascend the staircase and step inside, you'll be awestruck by the charm and spaciousness of this beautifully crafted retreat—perfect for a peaceful Northwoods escape!

The outdoor spaces, perfect for cookouts and cozy evenings. Kids will love the playground and spacious areas for bike riding.

We live on the property and we are typically around. We do provide cell phone numbers though to text if you need anything. You can always come to any door and ring the door bell too.

This is a quiet neighborhood community in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. We know all of our neighbors, and are incredibly safe in this neighborhood.

We have over 4 miles of roads in this dead end road subdivision. Roads are mostly paved, so great for bike riding, etc. There is plenty of parking onsite and a 4 acre wood with paths and trails for leisurely walks.
