Cozy Forest Cabin–Pooh’s Hideout @Friedenswald(Peace Forest) Pets Welcome!
Pooh’s Hideout is a unique, family-friendly cabin nestled beside Owl’s House. Fully insulated and heated, it stays cozy in winter and cool in summer (no A/C).
Inside, you'll find a handcrafted futon that converts into a full-size bed with storage. Relax indoors or unwind in the shared open-air pavilion.
Enjoy evenings by the firepit or cook on the gas grill. The shared full bathroom with a shower is just 50 yards away in the barn.
A peaceful place with rustic charm—perfect for nature lovers!
Escape to Nature at Pooh’s Hideout!
You'll have fresh coffee beans with a grinder and a French press for you morning brew & a hot water kettle. Or a camp fire coffee pot.
Wander peaceful woodland trails, relax by the pond front dock, or unwind on a bench beneath a charming, covered bridge.
Enjoy cozy evenings around one of our fire pits, or fire up the gas grill for a cookout under the stars.

During your stay at Pooh’s Hideout, you’ll have access to several inviting shared spaces designed for relaxation and connection.
Lower Barn Entrance – Includes a full bathroom, a laundry room for your convenience, and our unique Silo Library, where you can cozy up with a book or borrow one to enjoy back at your cabin.
Pavilion & Picnic Area – A perfect spot for outdoor dining and gathering. Use the gas grill or cook over an open fire at one of our fire pits.
These spaces are shared, so please be considerate of others. Many guests love meeting fellow travelers here!
Woodland Trails – Explore the scenic trails that wind through the property, offering peaceful nature walks and quiet spots to unwind.

We live on the property so are typically not far away but will have phone numbers to text if you need anything.
We have lots of parking on site. We are between Merrill (10 miles north)and Tomahawk (17 miles south) in the country. If you plan to cook your own food or need snacks you may want to stop on your way through. Once you get here you will want to kick up your feet and relax.
