Light the fire pit on your porch at M Lazy C Ranch and watch the Lake George sky fill with stars — solitude that's still less than an hour from Colorado Springs.
Watch the cabin glow like a lantern in the pines as the stars come out above the ridge.
Queue up a show, sink into the pillows, and let the private deck door stay open to the pines — this room does double duty as a den.
Settle into the loft bed, flip on the neon lights, and challenge whoever's up there to a round of Ms. Pac-Man before lights-out.
Sink into the sectional and take in the whole layout at a glance — kitchen behind you, the loft tucked up top, stairs leading to even more space.
Just a few tiny houses nearby on M Lazy C Ranch
Pull up the drive at golden hour and watch your cabin catch the last light — tucked into the pines at M Lazy C Ranch, 49 minutes from Colorado Springs.
Climb the stairs at dusk and the porch fire pit is already glowing — your first look at home for the next few days.
Settle into a lounge chair as the sun drops behind the pines and let the fire pit take over from there.
Bring a book out to the porch table and let the tea go cold — nobody's timing you here
Pull the throw over your knees, prop your feet up, and let the fire pit do the rest of the work.
Throw the steaks on your private back-porch grill and crack a cold one while they sizzle — dinner's basically done.
Fire up the grill on your own back porch, propane tank included — no shared amenities, no waiting your turn.
Crack a beer, flip what's on the grill, and let the porch heater take the chill off once the sun drops.
Step onto the deck at dusk and watch the ranch go quiet — just dirt roads, pines, and the first stars over Lake George.
Curl up on the sectional and look straight through to the porch — the fire pit's just a few steps from the couch.
Challenge someone to a high-score run before bed — the cabinet's steps from the pillow.
Pick a game off the stack — Monopoly, Sorry, Candy Land, Uno — and let the evening slow down a little.
Grab something off the shelf — a paperback for the porch, a page-turner for the loft — and let the WiFi stay off for a while.
Claim the corner of the sectional and watch the porch through the window — you'll end up out there eventually.
Settle into the nook with the door open — the deck's close enough to hear the breeze move through the pines.
Cook a real dinner in a full kitchen — dark cabinetry, gas range, farmhouse sink, everything you'd want at home.
Climb the ladder to the loft and claim the bed under the arcade lights — the kids will fight over this one.
Claim the oversized green chair up in the loft — the animal-print rug below keeps younger guests entertained for hours. Perfect for kids.
Keep cooking while the rest of the group holds down the sectional — the layout keeps everyone in the same conversation.
Flip through the guest book before you go — leave your own note for whoever checks in next.
Build your own coffee order before the hike — flavored syrups, a rotating tea drawer, and a machine that does the rest.
Cook whatever you packed for — the pots and pans are already staged and waiting on the stove.
Wash up at the farmhouse sink while the window curtain filters in the last of the daylight.
Pull two glasses down and pour something from the rack — the cabinet's stocked for it.
Pop a pod into the espresso machine and have coffee going before you've fully woken up.
Wake up, open the French doors, and the grill and patio heater are already a few feet from bed.
Claim the Master bedroom and get your own reading light, your own art, your own quiet.
Get ready at a vanity that actually has counter space, mirror, everything within reach.
Rinse off under a rain shower head after a day on the trails — no low water pressure here.
Skip packing the shampoo — Margaux Collection's already stocked in the shower.
Switch off the lamp, and the nightstand's got everything you actually reach for in the dark.
Carry the tray out to the porch — muffins, fruit, and whatever you packed for the ride up.
Throw a load in before checkout — the stacked LG set means you're not packing dirty clothes home.
Trace where you'll sleep, cook, and unwind before you even step inside — primary bedroom and bath at one end, kitchen and living area spilling onto the fire pit porch at the other.
Find your bed before you arrive — the loft sits right over the main living space, so you're always just a few steps from everyone downstairs.
Step outside after dark at M Lazy C Ranch and let the Milky Way take over — your cabin glowing warm against a Lake George sky the city lights never reach.
Grab a bench in the log-ring gathering circle and watch the sunrise break through the pines before the ranch wakes up.
Take a swing at the roping dummies by the tack shed — the same spot wranglers practice between chores.
Spot both fire rings and the old chuckwagon grill from above — pick whichever circle you want to claim for s'mores tonight.
Take in the full spread of dirt roads and open range circling the ranch, mountains stacking up along the horizon.
Wander past the old Foreman and Wrangler bunkhouses as the sky turns pink behind their tin roofs.
Watch the sun drop behind the peaks while the whole ranch spreads out below you in every direction.
Catch the clouds light up pink and gold over the mountains as evening settles over the ranch.

About this place

Tiny House on Ranch · Stargazing + Fire Pit

Hey, stargazers! La Casa Noche is a tiny house on a working Colorado ranch, right where the ranch meets Pike National Forest. Light the gas fire pit out front, pour something warm, and settle in for stargazing under some of the darkest skies in Colorado. It's dog friendly, too: your pups are welcome (up to 2, with approval). Tomorrow you could grill your catch on the back patio, or go fly fishing at 11 Mile Canyon. Tonight, you're just going to look up.

The outdoor story is where La Casa Noche earns its name. Out front, a gas fire pit anchors a wide-open stretch of Colorado sky — this is where your evenings begin. Pull up a chair, pour something cold, and let your eyes adjust. The M Lazy C Ranch spreads in every direction around you: working land, open sky, Pike National Forest starting right where the fence line ends. Some nights you'll hear cattle somewhere out in the dark. Some nights it's just the fire.

Out back, the private patio is built for mornings. Two chairs face the mountains, and a full propane grill is staged and ready — for whatever you pulled from the river, picked up at the market, or just felt like cooking at altitude. A patio heater keeps things going when the evenings cool fast, which, in Colorado, they always do.

Inside, the tiny house is smarter than its square footage lets on. The living room is the kind of space that makes you stop unpacking and just sit down — warm, unhurried, exactly right. The galley kitchen is set up for actual cooking — not just reheating — and the butler pantry behind it adds real storage and prep space, a rarity in tiny-house builds.

At a glance:

- Sleeping: sleeps 6 — queen bed (main) + queen in loft + pull-out sofa

- Kitchen: full galley kitchen + butler pantry, coffee maker, all essentials

- Outdoor: gas fire pit · propane grill · patio heater

- Entertainment: Smart TV (streaming) · Ms. Pac-Man arcade game · board games & cards

- Extras: smart lock entry · WiFi · washer and dryer · linens provided

- Pets: dogs welcome (up to 2, with approval)

- Before you arrive: a quick online check-in with a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and your choice of a refundable security hold or a damage waiver (details at the end of the description) :)

The main bedroom holds a queen bed, properly made. Up the stairs, the loft tucks a second queen under a low ceiling that makes it feel private and nestled — kids tend to claim it, and couples who like a cozy hideaway love it too. Prefer stand-up headroom? The main bedroom is yours, and the loft is a cozy spot for the kids.

And beyond the front door: you'll be one of a few tiny houses on M Lazy C Ranch. Check out M Lazy C Ranch for their amenities, booked through them. The South Platte River is minutes away; 11 Mile Reservoir — one of Colorado's most celebrated fishing spots — is about 25 minutes down the road.

WHERE YOU'LL BE

Lake George sits in the South Platte River valley — remote enough for genuinely dark skies, close enough to great fishing that you could be on the water by 8am.

Eleven Mile Canyon (15 min) — A granite canyon on the South Platte in Pike National Forest, known for fly fishing for brown and rainbow trout, plus rock climbing and an easy interpretive trail.

Eleven Mile State Park & Reservoir (25 min) — Boating, camping, ice fishing in winter, and a reservoir with rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout plus kokanee salmon and northern pike. About 5 miles of hiking trails.

Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument (20 min) — Petrified redwood stumps and fossils from about 34 million years ago, and a certified International Dark Sky Park. An easy afternoon, especially with kids.

Pike National Forest — at your back fence. Hiking and wildlife viewing without getting in the car.

Spinney Mountain State Park (30 min) — Gold Medal water known for trophy northern pike and trout. The reservoir is open from spring ice-out to about mid-November; the Dream Stream, the Gold Medal stretch of the South Platte just below it, stays open for fly fishing through the winter.

South Platte River — minutes from the front gate, and one of Colorado's most storied trout rivers.

Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center (25 min) — Guided tours to see wolves, foxes, and coyotes up close; book ahead.

Cripple Creek (45 min) — Colorado's historic gold-mining town, with heritage museums and mining history.

Colorado Springs (1 hr 5 min) — Full city amenities, restaurants, and grocery, plus Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak — when you need them.

ATV & OHV Riding — Badger Flats OHV Area in Pike National Forest, about 6 miles northwest of Lake George, has beginner-friendly ATV, UTV, and dirt-bike trails (seasonal; gates close in wet weather). Trailer in and ride.

WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR

For the angler who planned this trip six months ago. You've been eyeing 11 Mile Canyon since a friend sent you a photo of a 22-inch brown he pulled out in October. You want a real kitchen to clean your catch, a grill ready to go, and a place to wind down that doesn't feel like a motel. La Casa Noche is that place — the South Platte is minutes from the gate, 11 Mile Canyon is 15 minutes, and the back patio grill is waiting.

For the couple who needs to actually unplug. This is a working ranch on the edge of national forest, with just a few tiny house neighbors. You light the gas fire pit out front, pour something cold, and the night belongs to you. The sky out here is legitimately dark and quiet — just stars and each other.

For the family that wants a real Colorado adventure. When you're all worn out, board games, the Ms. Pac-Man arcade game and a warm couch are waiting inside. The loft is perfect for kids who want their own space. Parents get the main bedroom, and everyone sleeps well.

For the dog owner. Bring your well-behaved, house-broken pup (up to 2, with approval). Open ranch country makes for happy dogs; just keep them leashed outside the yard and give the cattle and horses plenty of room.

For the hunter or outdoorsperson using this as a base. Pike National Forest is literally at the back fence. You need a place where you can come back muddy, pack your gear, and not worry about it. The ranch setting gets it.

For the stargazer who's been waiting for a clear sky. The name says it all. La Casa Noche — The Night House. Lake George sits at elevation, away from city glow, in a valley that was made for this. Bring a blanket, claim the fire pit, and look up.

GUEST ACCESS & PARKING

La Casa Noche is the entire tiny house — yours for the stay, no shared spaces. Check-in is at 4:00 PM via smart lock; your code arrives before you leave home. Checkout is 11:00 AM.

Finding us: once you're on M Lazy C Ranch, follow the RV area signs to the tiny house. Take a look at the map in your guest portal before you set out, especially if you'll arrive after dark, and call us anytime if you need a hand.

Unlimited parking on-site. Pull right up to the house — no tight lots, no parking passes. Room for trucks with boat trailers, multiple vehicles, and anything else you're hauling in from the trail or the river.

HOUSE RULES

✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1,000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company.

The optional damage waiver is $37 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

So you'll be able to choose between the fully refundable security hold OR the non-refundable damage waiver :)

To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

No smoking inside; outdoor smoking is OK away from the house and dry grass, and never during a fire ban. Well-behaved dogs welcome with prior approval and a pet fee per dog, shown at booking (max 2, must be ranch-appropriate and house-broken). Maximum 6 guests (up to 4 adults and up to 3 children); small family gatherings are welcome.
