How to add Houfy widgets to Google Sites?
Last updated August 24, 2026
Before you start: building widget code needs a Premium plan.
1. Get the widget code from Houfy
Go to houfy.com/widgets-old (or open houfy.com/widgets and click Classic widget builder in the left sidebar). Choose the widget you want, set your options, then click Try it to open the preview.
The code panel has two tabs:
Widget Code (Recommended) - a div plus a script tag. Use this one first.
iFrame Code - a single iframe. Use this if Google Sites strips the script tag or the widget does not appear.
2. Add it to Google Sites
Open your site in Google Sites and select the page where the widget should appear. In the Insert panel on the right, click Embed code, paste the code you copied, and click Next then Insert.
If you pasted the Widget Code and nothing renders, come back to step 1 and copy the iFrame Code instead - some site builders remove script tags from embedded HTML.
