How to share the widget code with someone?
Get your widget code from the classic widget builder (Get Code, then Copy Code) and hand it to your web developer privately. The code contains your access token, so never post it publicly.

If someone else builds or maintains your website, you can hand them the widget code rather than installing it yourself.
Get the code
Open https://www.houfy.com/widgets (Website widgets in the Manage Listings sidebar), then click Classic widget builder in the left sidebar to reach https://www.houfy.com/widgets-old. The ready-made widgets live there; the page you land on first is the AI Widget Builder, which has no widget list.
Click the widget you want to add.
Set the options you want - button labels, colours, whether prices show. This is optional; the defaults work.
Click Get Code.
On the Widget Code (Recommended) tab, click Copy Code. If the website builder your developer uses strips script tags, open the iFrame Code tab instead and copy that single line - it needs no script.
Generating the widget code requires a Houfy Premium plan. On any other plan the code panel shows "This feature is included in Houfy Premium plan." instead of the code.
Before you send it
That code contains your access token. It is what proves the widget is allowed to pull your listing's data, and it should be treated like a password.
Sending it to your own web developer is fine - they need it to make the widget work. What is not fine is posting it anywhere public: a forum thread, a Facebook group, a screenshot in a support conversation. If you are asking for help and need to show the code, black out the token first.
Send it privately, to a person you have chosen, and nowhere else.
