How to add Houfy widgets to my Wix website?

Step 1 - get the widget code from Houfy

1. Open houfy.com/widgets (Website widgets in your account menu), then click Classic widget builder in the left sidebar to reach houfy.com/widgets-old.

2. Choose the widget you want and adjust its settings.

3. On the Widget Code (Recommended) tab, click Copy Code. You get two lines: an HTML line and a script line.

Building widget code requires a Houfy Premium plan. On any other plan this panel shows This feature is included in Houfy Premium plan. instead of the code.

Step 2 - add it to Wix

1. Go to My Sites on Wix and click to edit the site.

2. Click Add Elements (the plus icon) and add an Embed code section.

3. In the HTML settings, choose Code and paste both the HTML line and the script line.

The Houfy widget should now appear.

If the widget does not appear, Wix has removed the script tag. Go back to the widget in Houfy, open the iFrame Code tab instead and paste that single line into the embed - it needs no script.

Wix embeds run inside an iframe, so give the embed enough height for the widget you chose - a calendar or quote tool needs more room than a summary. The widget sizes itself to the phone screen automatically; you only need to set the height of the Wix element around it.
