If you want quick and easy-to-make meals priced more reasonably than the rest of New Jersey, try Aldi. It is a chain grocery store with mostly off-brands and some name brands set up like a mini-warehouse rather than a fancier (read $$$) grocery market. They have ever-growing organic, gluten-free, and healthy selections as well as frozen and packaged foods.
Bring a quarter to unlock the cart and your own bags, because they don't supply them unless you buy them (well, that is the law of the land in all of NJ now anyway).
They will ring up your order and place all your items into a new cart, where you will go to a loading area to bag or box your purchases. It's a different shopping culture that you just might enjoy!
Aldi is a great way to save money on your vacation.
