How to add Houfy widgets to your own website

Houfy widgets put live pricing, availability, photos and reviews from your listing onto your own website. There are widgets for:

Whichever one you pick, it takes the same two pieces of code.

Get your code

Open https://www.houfy.com/widgets (Website widgets in the Manage Listings sidebar), then click Classic widget builder in the left sidebar to reach https://www.houfy.com/widgets-old - the page you land on first is the AI Widget Builder, which has no widget list. Choose the widget you want. The page has a settings panel on the left - button labels, colours, whether to show prices, whether to show the all-listings dropdown - and it rebuilds the code as you change them. Click Get Code, then on the Widget Code (Recommended) tab click Copy Code.

Generating the widget code requires a Houfy Premium plan. On any other plan the code panel shows "This feature is included in Houfy Premium plan." instead of the code.

Copy it from there rather than typing it out. The generated code already carries your listing id and your access token, and getting either of those wrong is the usual reason a widget shows up blank.

a. The HTML

The first block is a single div. Paste it into your page wherever the widget should appear.

Everything about the widget is carried in that div's attributes: which widget you get, your listing id, your access token, the colours, and the button labels. If you want the buttons to say something other than Book Direct and Contact Owner, change them in the settings panel before you copy - or edit those attribute values afterwards.

b. The script

The second block is a one-line script tag pointing at Houfy's widget loader. Put it just before the closing body tag, or at the bottom of the page.

You only need it once per page, no matter how many widgets you have put on that page.

If your website builder strips script tags, go back to the widget, open the iFrame Code tab and paste that single line instead - it needs no script.

Keep your access token to yourself

The access token in your widget code is yours. It belongs in your own website's source and nowhere else - not in a forum post, not in a screenshot, not pasted into a support conversation. If you need to show somebody your widget code, black the token out first.
