Where to find your Houfy widget embed code
Every Houfy widget guide starts with "find the widget's HTML and JavaScript code". Here is where that code actually lives, and which widgets you can embed on your own website.
Última atualização 24 de agosto de 2026
Your widget embed code is generated in Website widgets, reached from the menu on the left of Manage Listings or at houfy.com/widgets. Choose the widget you want, select the listing it should show, and Houfy generates an HTML block and a JavaScript snippet to paste into your own site. Widgets are a Premium feature. Houfy has two builders: the AI Widget Builder (the default, currently in beta) and the Classic widget builder, which you can switch to from the left menu.
Which widgets you can embed
Both builders offer the same fourteen widgets. Two are labelled differently in the two builders - the name in brackets is what the Classic widget builder calls it.
Price & booking (Classic: Quote tool) - dates, guests, the total trip price including fees and taxes, and Book Direct / Contact Owner buttons
Availability calendar - a month grid or the full year, with nightly rates
Multi calendar - availability across several of your listings at once
Guest reviews - reviews from your Houfy listing
Photo gallery - your listing photos, with a lightbox
Amenities - the amenities list
Sleeping configuration - beds by room
Policies - your house rules, check-in and check-out, deposit and cancellation policy
Activities - things to do nearby
Listing description - your written description
Listing summary - bedrooms, bathrooms, guests and headline details
Seasonal pricing - your rates by season
All listings - a grid of every listing you have
Embed listing - a single compact property card for one listing
There is no separate quote widget: the Quote tool in the Classic widget builder and Price & booking in the AI builder are the same widget. And no widget puts your whole listing PAGE inside your site - build the page out of the widgets above instead.
How to get the code
Click your profile picture in the top right and choose Manage Listings, then Website widgets in the left menu.
Pick a widget to start from — for example Price & booking or Availability calendar.
Choose the listing the widget should display. The picker reads Select a listing until you do, and the widget cannot generate live code without it.
Adjust the appearance so it matches your site.
Copy the HTML code and the JavaScript code. You need both — the HTML places the widget, the script makes it work.
Paste both into your own website, following the guide for your platform.
Using the AI Widget Builder
The AI builder lets you start from one of the widgets above and then describe the changes you want in plain language — colours, layout, wording — instead of adjusting settings by hand. It runs on credits; your balance and recent usage are under Credits & Usage at the bottom of the left menu.
To use the older builder instead, click Classic widget builder in the left menu.
Just want a simple listing card? You do not need Premium
If all you want is a card linking to your listing — photo, rating, and a link through to book — you do not need widgets or a paid plan. Open your listing, click the share icon above the photos, and choose the Embed tab. Copy the iframe snippet and paste it into your site. That is free on every plan.
Use the Premium widgets when you want visitors to do something on your own page — check dates, see live rates, browse photos, read reviews or start a booking without leaving your site.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a paid plan to use widgets?
Yes. Widgets and embed tools are included in Premium. The simple listing-card embed in the share window is free on every plan.
What is the difference between the share window's Embed tab and a widget?
The share window gives you one card that links to your listing — free, on any plan. A widget puts a working piece of Houfy on your page: a live calendar, real rates, your reviews, a booking form. That is Premium.
My site says the widget needs Houfy Premium, but I have already upgraded.
The exact message is: Your listing(s) must be active and on a Houfy Premium plan to access this feature. Both halves have to be true. First check that the listing the widget points at is still active in Manage Listings - a paused, incomplete or unpublished listing shows the upgrade notice even on a paid plan. Then check in Houfy Pay that the subscription shows as active, and sign out and back in so the plan is picked up. If all three are right and the widget still will not load, send us the page URL through the contact form under Website builder, widgets & rental agreement and we will look at it from our side.
Can I put widgets for more than one property on the same page?
Yes — use the All listings or Multi calendar widget, or add a separate widget per listing.
Do I need the website builder to use widgets?
No. Widgets go on a website you already have. The website builder is for creating a site on Houfy.
Will the widget update when I change my calendar or rates?
Yes. Widgets read live from your Houfy listing.
