The Lodge at Deschutes Riverfront Retreat - Sunriver

Inside, two large living areas upstairs and down center on a vaulted great room with a stone fireplace and panoramic river views, plus a well-equipped kitchen and a king Primary Suite that looks out over the water. Free high-speed WiFi, heating, and AC throughout.

Entertainment: a 65-inch 4K TV, Blu-ray, Dish TV, gaming consoles, Xbox, and a classic arcade machine, plus a pool table and ping pong.

Outside: an outdoor hot tub, a wrap-around covered deck with seating and a gas grill, private disc golf, bocce, a hammock by the water, and Adirondack chairs on your own dock. The dock is made for fishing, watching wildlife, and floating, and small boats can be hand-launched (a public put-in is 2.5 miles up the road). Please bring your own water toys and PFDs, as none are provided.

Sleeping: Main floor has a king Primary Suite with private bath, a room with two sets of twin beds and a full bath, and a queen. Downstairs has a king with two twins and a private bath, a second king with two twins and a private bath, and a queen with a full bath just outside the room. A futon and twin sofa bed sit by the pool table, with pack-n-plays and cots available (no linens provided for these).

Area character: quiet, rural-residential with large lots, pine/Juniper woodland, and nearby recreational land (Deschutes River corridor, forest roads and trails). Nearby points of interest: Sunriver resort area and amenities to the west, Newberry National Volcanic Monument / Paulina Lake to the south/southeast, and Bend city services and shops to the north. Expect limited immediate commercial venues — guests typically drive 15–30+ minutes to grocery, restaurants, and downtown Bend depending on traffic.

Car recommended: main way to reach and move around the area; most guests rent a car or use rideshares. Public transit: Bend area transit (Cascade East Transit / CET) operates regional routes but fixed-route coverage in this specific pocket is limited; Dial‑A‑Ride and shuttle services exist for some regional connections. Rideshare/taxi: available in Bend and Sunriver but can be sparse in rural zones; plan pickups in town centers. Biking/hiking: many nearby trails and forest roads for active guests; roads may be narrow and unlit at night.

Renters must be 30 or older, and a driver's license and signed rental agreement are required after booking. The home is on a private well and septic system, so occupancy is capped at 18 and strictly enforced. SHARC passes are not included. Outdoor fires are seasonal: none June through September, with May and October weather dependent. Dock fishing follows seasonal regulations. Exterior security cameras record audio and video and are used only in the event of an issue. The Lodge welcomes family reunions, groups, and small riverside weddings (a wedding fee applies).
