Gorgeous Five Bedroom On Creek - Austin

If you love drinking top-notch coffee in the morning while looking out at a quiet creek in the middle of the hustle and bustle of what is East Austin, you have found your place.

The property hosts a large, connected, multiunit home. Your two units include two kitchens, two living rooms, five bedrooms, and a shared (with host) 1/2 acre backyard with creek. The third unit is also rented out when we are not in Austin. PETS ONLY PERMITTED FOR 30 DAY OR MORE BOOKINGS :)

Coronavirus: We always do a ten man/woman hour deep and completely disinfectant cleaning between each guest for your safety and have installed the highest level HEPA filters. We are available to answer any questions you have and are looking forward to having you. Thank you.

Outside of the property is what we will just call the "charm" of East Austin, weird indeed as the slogan would call it. When you step past the large front coverage of trees that line the 1/2 acre property though you find yourself in an oasis filled with organically pest controlled green lawns, a screened-in patio next to the backyard creek, owls calling their lovers, the resident hawk flying overhead, cranes flying down the creek fishing for their breakfast (if you wake up early enough), and flying unicorns (just kidding). My friend said to me as I was tooth brushing the baseboards, “Cassie, nobody is going to care what the inside looks like after seeing the backyard.” Swimming in the creek is possible about 80% of the time. It is not possible when there has been too much rain (fast flowing and running off) or too little rain (stagnant water).

There are three units in this sprawling L shaped residence, the main house, the two-bedroom suite and our unit. You are booking both the main house and the guest suite. Our unit is also rented out when we are not in Austin.

You have access to two kitchens, two living rooms, two bathrooms, and five bedrooms.

The five bedrooms include:

The Ansel Adam's Room with a large window, new queen-sized bed, desk, and walk-in closet with large dresser.

The Tibetan Room full of art from my time there, a large new queen-sized bed, and large window.

The Whimsical Room is the smallest room with a new queen size bed, desk, and lovely energy from the trees that live outside it.

The Suite Master’s Room with a French door to the outside and new queen-sized bed.

The Suite Guest Room with access to both the main house and the suite and queen-sized bed.

The couch in the suite is also a futon that can be used as an additional bed.

There is an additional washer and drier in the suite in addition to one in the main house, but you have to stand on a step ladder to reach the drier. It is the only way we could get one into the suite. :) There are also steps in the suite: the living room is a step down and there is one step to get onto the patio. This is something to consider if you have limited mobility.

There are two very sweet dogs you might see in the backyard that guests have fallen in love with. Sometimes I get jealous of their reviews (just kidding).

The rate includes fast wifi, hot water on demand, fire pit, a large patio and screened-in porch, creek, linens and towels, soap and shampoo, washer and drier, coffee and kitchen essentials. The backyard is shared with the third unit.

We also have a Roku set up on two TVs that includes sling tv with over 45 channels.

Parties and special events are not allowed on the property.

Just bring yourself, an open heart and your bag of clothes...

We want everybody who comes here to love their stay, so please ask for anything you need and we will help as much as possible…. Just ask.

There is bus transportation one block from the house that goes into downtown. All details about transportation are in the house manual.

Smoking only allowed outside.

The thermostat is programed to not allow the AC to be set below 72 and the heat to not be set above 74.
