☆☆ BEDROOMS + BATHROOMS ☆☆

Each of the home’s bedrooms is designed with guest comfort in mind. Fall asleep in comfortable beds and wake up refreshed for another exciting (or relaxing!) day at the beach.

There are three stylish bedrooms. Get away from the world in a spacious primary ensuite that takes up the entire third floor, offering plenty of privacy in a zen atmosphere. The other two bedrooms are on the second level and share a second full bathroom.

☆☆ KITCHEN & DINING ☆☆

The kitchen and dining area offer plenty of room to comfortably host family dinners and are outfitted with all the cookware, dishes, utensils, appliances, and popcorn maker you will need to cook delicious meals. The dining table can seat up to four.

☆☆ LIVING SPACES ☆☆

The main level has a living room with a large, comfortable couch and seating for six. Each of the bedrooms also has a small seating nook if you’re looking for a little more privacy from the rest of the group.

☆☆ WORKING SPACES ☆☆

We love hosting remote workers and have two dedicated spaces with desks to accommodate when you need to get a little work done! We are a favorite for writer's retreats.

☆☆ OUTSIDE SPACE ☆☆

While there are plenty of outdoor activities nearby, the house also provides its own outdoor sanctuary for guests to enjoy. We invite you to relax in the backyard or on the deck. There are plenty of seating areas for guests to sip morning coffee or enjoy a happy hour drink as the sun goes down. There are string lights to provide ambient lighting.

Your safety matters. This property has a Ring camera with audio at the exterior part of the house, this will be on at all times but don’t worry, it does not look into interior spaces.

You will have private access to the entire home for the duration of your stay, including the beach chairs and towels, amazing living spaces, full kitchen, and outdoor spaces.

We have one reserved, marked space in front of our place. You can find a second unmarked, visitor spot at most times of the day, but in case the lot is full, our house guide indicates where you can park your second car nearby or we can send you details. You cannot park more than two cars in the community parking lot.

We won't be around in person but respond quickly to messages. We strive hard for 5 star reviews, so if for any reason you feel unsatisfied and that your stay was less than a 5 star experience, we ask that you PLEASE let us know beforehand so that we can do our best to resolve any issue you might be having. We can't improve your stay if you don't tell us about it! We really hope your time at A Haven Away is relaxing and pleasant, so please let us know how we can help improve your experience.

Our townhouse is located in a very quiet and safe community by the wetlands park. There is very little traffic and children play in the streets.

You can walk to our cute beach town and boardwalk from the house. You can get coffee and pastries for breakfast from the Bakist, walk to the popular Hook & Vine for dinner, or get and cheese from local farms at local shops. There is a farmer's market on Saturday mornings.

Put your feet up and relax or have fun some of the many activities North Beach has to offer- the choice is yours!

North Beach is an hour from DC.

We have one parking spot in front of the house. You can usually find a spot for your second car, but we'll let you know where you can park nearby just in case the lot is full.

Our homes in North Beach stand out to guests for being extremely clean thanks to our top-notch cleaner!

We have several other similar properties in the area as well as D.C. and West Virginia so if your travels ever take you to those areas please reach out. We would love to host you at any of our properties!

Noise & Parties

We ask that guests be mindful of noise because the townhome shares walls. No parties are allowed. Walking in and out of the house with visible alcohol, visitors, or high noise levels indicate a party atmosphere and will be dealt with strictly. Our neighbor is a cop!

Local laws require music to be turned off at 10 pm.

No smoking or incense. We have smart systems that document smoke. $500 fine for violations.

Pets

We allow up to 2 reliably house-trained dogs for a $25 pet fee per dog per night for stays under 7 nights. If you want to bring your dog, please let us know:

- If they are 100% reliably house-trained
- The dog's age

We must approve their stay, but we have never rejected a reliably house-trained dog. We do not allow cats or puppies.

We would really appreciate it if you could bathe your dog before visiting.

** If you're not a pet person, note that we are very good at keeping our homes super clean despite hosting pets.
