OUTSIDE SPACE
Step outside to our expansive back deck, perfect for lounging and soaking up the serene surroundings. Enjoy al fresco dining at our table for 10, where you can share delicious meals under the open sky. As the sun sets, gather around the outdoor fire pit to relax with your favorite beverage or toast some s'mores. For everyone's safety, guests agree to release the property owner from all liability related to injuries that may occur while using the fire, regardless of cause. If you have small children, please ensure they understand how to stay safe around the fire.

You'll take the scenic route in along the roaring Shenandoah River. You'll come up a long driveway to your own private wooded estate on 3 acres. We'll share a lockbox code and you'll have the place to yourself.

We won't be around in person but respond quickly to messages. Mountain Haven is tucked away on 3 private acres of woodland, offering the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. Just 15 minutes north of historic Harpers Ferry, WV—on the Maryland side of the Potomac River—you’ll find yourself surrounded by rolling hills, forested trails, and endless opportunities for adventure.

Whether you’re hiking the Appalachian Trail, biking the C&O Canal Towpath, whitewater rafting, or exploring Harpers Ferry’s cobblestone streets and Civil War history, Mountain Haven is a peaceful retreat close to it all.

We have plenty of parking at the house. Guests will require a car. Harper's Ferry (15 minutes) has stores with everything you need as does Shepherdstown (20 minutes). Brunswick (15 minutes) is the best stop on the way from DC on the East for groceries. There are also Amtrak and MARC stations in Brunswick and Harper's Ferry. During the winter, a four wheel drive/AWD is recommended in case of snow storms. Please use good judgment about driving conditions and starting your journey early so you can arrive on time. We do snowplow the snow when it snows heavily as soon as possible.

We allow reliably house-trained dogs for a $25 pet fee per dog per night for stays under 7 nights. If you want to bring your dog, please let us know:

- If they are 100% reliably house-trained
- The dog's age

We must approve their stay, but we have never rejected a reliably house-trained dog. We do not allow cats or puppies.

We would really appreciate it if you could bathe your dog before visiting.

** If you're not a pet person, note that we are very good at keeping our homes super clean despite hosting pets.

** No smoking. No incense. NO PARTIES. The property has smart systems that will alert us in case of a party or smoke. We charge a $500 fee in case of violations. **
