We loved our time in Alexandria at Diane's place. The home was just as described and had everything we needed. The location could not have been better. We stayed at Diane's place a month, and I was honestly worried that might be too long to be away from home, work, etc. But her lovely home with all the thoughtful touches made it so comfortable. I was working remotely, and the 2 upstairs office options were perfect, (although I typically used the kitchen table, front or back porches on most days). I spent 2 weeks there before even venturing outside of Alexandria! So much to see and do. It's one of the prettiest, friendliest towns I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. In fact, I didn't feel like a visitor, but a resident, which is always a bonus! Additionally, being so close to DC, National Harbor, Mt. Vernon, and countless other sites, I was tempted to never leave. The free and affordable transportation everywhere (we loved the King St. Trolley) and proximity to DC/Nat’l Harbor, made it the ideal location for us. As a Pacific NW native and VA/DC newbie, the culture and history surrounding us was truly inspiring. Halfway through our stay, we were already sad at how quickly the time was passing and neither of us were ready to leave. The sign of a perfect trip!

My son is immunocompromised and upon receiving the house it was immaculate. The host couldn’t have been more hospitable, and inviting. Very attentive and eager to help with any question. Also the perfect distance to affordable metro parking that makes visiting DC convenient and economical. The living conditions were well above expectations with their recent upgrades. Overall, staying here made it possible that this father and son could have a weekend to remember.
