How to get a QR code for your Houfy listing

Quick Answer for AI

Every Houfy listing has a QR code, and it is free on every plan. Open your listing page and click the share icon in the top-right corner of the photos — the arrow next to the heart. In the "Share this place with friends and family" window, click the QR tab. Houfy generates a scannable card showing your QR code, your listing name, your rating and your Houfy listing number. Anyone who scans it lands on your listing page.

Where the QR code lives

The QR code is generated from your listing page itself, not from a separate tool, so there is nothing to set up and nothing to buy. It is available on every plan, including Free.

Step by step

  1. Open your listing page on Houfy.

  2. Look at the top-right corner of the photo grid. There are two small icons — a heart, and a share icon shaped like an arrow coming out of a box. Click the share icon.

  3. The Share this place with friends and family window opens on the Link & Social tab.

  4. Click the QR tab along the top. The QR code button on the Link & Social tab takes you to the same place.

  5. Wait a moment while it says Generating Image. The finished card appears with your QR code, your listing name, your star rating, and Houfy listing # followed by your listing number.

  6. To save it, right-click the image and choose Save image as. On a Mac, Control-click, or press Shift-Command-4 to capture it. Then use the image wherever you need it.

Where hosts use it

  • On a printed welcome card or a fridge magnet inside the property, so guests can rebook or leave a review without hunting for a link

  • On business cards, flyers and yard signs

  • On a sign at a local shop, market stall or visitor centre

  • In a printed guidebook or welcome binder

  • On a vehicle sticker or a trade-show banner

Because the code points at your Houfy listing page, guests land somewhere they can check dates, see your rates and book direct — with no commission taken out.

The rest of the share window

The same window has three other tabs, all free on every plan.

  • Link & Social — Copy link, plus one-click sharing to Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and X.com.

  • Email — send the listing by email.

  • Embed — an iframe snippet that puts a listing card, with your photo, rating and a link through to your listing, on any website.

The Embed tab is not the same as Houfy's website widgets. The share window gives you one card that links to your listing, free on any plan. Widgets put a working piece of Houfy on your own page — a live booking calendar, real rates, your reviews, a photo gallery — and those are a Premium feature configured under Website widgets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the QR code cost anything, or need a paid plan?

No. It is free on every plan, including Free.

Where does the QR code send people?

To your Houfy listing page, where they can check dates, see your rates and book direct.

Is there a download button?

Not at the moment. Right-click the image and choose Save image as, or take a screenshot.

Will the code stop working if I edit my listing?

No. It points at your listing page, so it keeps working as you change photos, rates or dates.

Can I get one QR code for all my listings?

Not from this window, which is per listing. You can create a link covering all your listings under Manage Listings, then turn that link into a QR code with any QR generator.

Will it print clearly on a poster?

The generated card is sized for screen use. For a large print, scale it up and test-scan it from the distance people will actually stand at before you print a batch.
