Add Houfy to Your Phone (so it opens like an app)

Houfy can be added to your phone's home screen and opens in its own window, like an app. There is nothing to download from an app store.

On iPhone or iPad (Safari)

1. Open houfy.com in Safari. You do not need to be logged in.

2. Tap the Share button - the square with an arrow pointing up, in the bar at the bottom of the screen.

3. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.

4. Tap Add. Houfy now sits on your home screen and you can move it like any other app.

On Android (Chrome)

1. Open houfy.com in Chrome. You do not need to be logged in.

2. Tap the three-dot menu at the top right.

3. Tap Add to Home screen (some versions say Install app), then confirm.

4. Houfy now sits on your home screen and you can move it like any other app.

Why it is worth doing on iPhone

Apple only allows a website to send push notifications once it has been added to the home screen. If you want Houfy notifications - a new booking request, a guest message - on an iPhone, adding Houfy to your home screen is the step that makes them possible.
