Bulgaria vacation rentals

Frosina and her husband were the best hosts you could ask for. We were a group of 10 friends greeted by them with open arms, a bottle of local rakia and treats left in the kitchen on arrival. They gave us great recommendations for ski lessons, local thermal spas and the best mehanas (taverns) in the old town (the one we went to really was incredible!). Everything in the house was sparkling clean, new and comfortable and you could easily spend your evenings in the house without having to go out, with fast internet, a huge tv, bar and set of speakers as well as hobs, an oven and microwave to cook a great feast for your group. The location of Villa Kaja was fantastic too - 5mins walk to the gondola with normal shoes on, or just under 10mins with your ski boots on and skis in hand. The bars and shops of the new town were just a couple of minutes walk away too, and also far enough that you couldn't hear any noise from the venues at night. We were also only 10-12minutes walk away from the old town and its traditional inns and taverns. They went above and beyond their duties to make sure we had an amazing time, even helping us do some laundry when we were running out of clothes! When we had any questions, Frosina was contactable at all times, responded super quickly and nothing was a problem for these lovely hosts. I was foolish enough to forget my ski gloves in the house, only realising once I was back in the UK, and she happily posted them back to me! Such a friendly bunch of hosts are rare to come across. We bumped into her husband one night and had a beer with him at the local pub, enjoying some quality time together as if we had known each other for a while. Our whole group was so happy with their hosting, their house and we hope to cross paths again one day. Thank you for such a great experience! :)

First of all, it was pleasure meeting Kalin and Maya. They are young intelligent family, which renovated this typical Bulgarian house in beautiful region in the Central Balcans. The area is absolutely calm, the air is pure and the view is splendid (from inside and outside the house). The night sky is breathtaking. Our family of 5 spent there 2 enjoyable weeks. The house inside is in traditional Bulgarian style, so cozy and all details have been carefully thought. Maya and Kalin were nice to bring us a couple of times fresh cheese, yogurt milk and vegetables from local producer. There are a lot of small villages and monasteries to visit, river to swim, very nice bar on open air next to the river and a lot of hiking paths. We experienced also a water infiltration in the kitchen due to abundant rain in the first 3 days, power block for some hours per day for 3 days, since there was a cable replacement, lack of water for one night due to water-pipe rapture. However in all occasions Kalin, Maya and some neighbors were there to assist with all necessary. And we even did not feel any inconvenient, being somehow all these part of natural lifestyle. The place is also perfect for a long or short-term retreat. It would be nice from you if you bring biodegradable washing products to respect all this beautiful surroundings.
