We both felt we had EVERYTHING we needed that allowed us to feel relaxed and give us that home from home feeling. Just perfect!! Lots of tourist information provided to guide us to a great time exploring some parts of The New Forest, unfortunately our 3 day stay wasn’t long enough and we regret not booking longer but we’ll be looking at returning during the Spring/Summer months next time to fill in the gaps :) We were really impressed with The Barn, the conversion has been done to a very high standard inside and out. The luxuries of the under floor heating, log burner and mezzanine bedroom was a pleasure to experience. All the little touches, the supply of tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The everyday kitchen and bathroom necessities were really appreciated and not forgetting the lovely lemon drizzle cake that welcomed us!! We were very grateful after our long journey! Beautiful and ideal location. Step across the road and you’re off, whether a long walk for the day or just a little wander with the dog before dark. Loads of dog-friendly pubs. Not far from great beaches, variety of walks from different locations and the drive through The New Forest from The Barn to wherever you want to go is just amazing. We had the best time.

5 star place to stay - immaculately clean, comfortable and well equipped. Easy to find, to park and exactly what we needed for a two night stay to visit friends who’ve moved up to Doncaster. The little touches like the complimentary cereal, jam and waffles for breakfast, the milk in the fridge and the G&T’s were amazing. It felt like coming to stay at a friend’s house! The beds are super comfy, the towels lovely and soft. Our son loved the garden and bouncing on the trampoline. I felt so at home here it was almost strange! Our friends came for dinner and they wanted to move in! Everything about this place is superb - you will not find better in Doncaster. Sarah & André are polite, super fast to respond, patient and helpful. I definitely could have stayed longer and would love to come back in the future. Thank you for a truly lovely wonderful stay!!

Excellent hosts, wonderful cottage, beautiful tranquil setting. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, cosy, tidy and had lovely views. It had everything we could have needed for our 4 day stay and to cook the odd meal indoors. Astrid and her husband are very welcoming and an utter delight to talk to, they were very helpful throughout our stay and kindly allowed us to check out slightly later. They met my partner and I upon arrival and Astrid popped over to say goodbye on the morning we left which was appreciated. All communication prior to our arrival was very easy with efficient responses. Whilst the local area is lovely, the cottage is very accessible by car to other areas of the New Forest. We explored the following towns/villages all of which I thoroughly recommend: Lyndhurst (Lyndhurst Parish Circular Walk, old sweet shop and loved the Waterloo Arms and the Oak Inn pub), Fritham (Royal Oak Pub was so peaceful with lovely views from the garden), Minstead (Furzey Gardens were beautiful and I recommend The Trusty Servent Sunday roast), Cadnam (great pubs and food including: The White Hart, Sir John Barleycorn), Brockenhurst (very picturesque, easy to rent bicycles), Lymington (wonderful harbour and market, also has a large Waitrose). All in all we had an amazing time, I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend the cottage to others. Thank you very much Astrid for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home! :)

Thanks, Michael for the wonderful home. Family stayed for a Thanksgiving week, and enjoyed chilling at the house. Great location relative to Westport, the Plaza, Nelson Atkins, etc.. Quiet neighborhood with beautiful streets. House was very comfortable and clean. Check-in was quick and easy. Owner was very available to help with any needs should they have popped up. Our puppy quite enjoyed the yard, and we had plenty of room to set up a kennel for the times we were away. Will definitely consider booking this home again.

This is a great place to stay in a wonderful location. My wife and I, and our two dogs stayed here for a few days. We had a lovely break. This is your classic welsh cottage. It’s not the ritz but it’s more than adequate for a getaway. The facilities are good with comfy rooms. The hosts are great, informative and helpful. The property is in a great location with some wonderful views from the house and even better views a short walk or drive away. The abbey farm bistro nearby is a handy option for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you don’t want to cook and want to walk just a few minutes away. Some small things to be aware of. There are steep steps to the property. Not many but they feel quite a lot if you have a few bags to collect from the car. The toilet is upstairs so also there are stairs to navigate. Neither of these are a problem if you’re in good health but worth knowing if this is an issue. The property sleeps 5 but I wouldn’t want to cook for 5 or sit 5 at the table. Again not a problem if you’re a smaller party or eating out but otherwise something to consider. Lastly, the shower is quite small with a curtain which can be difficult if you like your space. None of these things are show stoppers but it’s always good to know in advance. We needed to find somewhere for the dogs to walk nearby which was easy to find. The garden is enclosed but inquisitive dogs can find their way out so don’t turn your back on them. The field and walking paths nearby were great alternatives. Some great points to praise Ian and Yvonne for are there helpfulness. We had an initial problem with the heating's settings. A quick email to them and they fixed this remotely in a flash. We also had some personal issues which meant we needed to extend the stay at short notice. They were very helpful, flexible and accommodating. Also sorted very quickly. Overall a wonderful place with some minor potential issue to be aware of.

We have just returned home from a beautiful and peaceful stay in the shepherds hut. The accommodation is modern, clean and comfortable. Check in instructions and directions were really clear and helpful, especially when arriving in the dark! The beds are super cosy and comfortable! Both of my children slept past 7am which is unheard of at home!! Tip for anyone who, like us, is arriving late evening with young children …. There is a garage just before you turn off the main road, make sure you stop there for tea bags, milk, shower gel etc if you don’t already have them because once you arrive at accommodation it’s a little far to travel back to it! There is a farm shop nearby but understandably it wasn’t open in the evening. The accommodation feels very private and is a really short drive away from Nolton Haven and Newgale beach. We have had a really lovely stay and as we travel to Pembrokeshire every couple of months we will definitely be looking to stay again!

Great cottage, very roomy and has everything you need. Bathroom is great, modern, lovely shower. All bedrooms lovely too, very roomy. Longe/dining area really cosy but plenty of room. Kitchen new, great ovens!! Great location too, Eskdale is lovely, very quiet. Local shop is handy for bits and pieces, is also a post office so handy for banking. 2 great pubs within 15 minute walk. Richard & Jen great hosts, excellent communication Scored 4 on accuracy of listing as 2nd bathroom is in an out house not connected to main house, not sure this was clear in the listing, described as boot room so expected connecting door. Handy to have a loo downstairs but too cold to use the shower. Garden is more of a yard and is not enclosed, open by the side of the house so not great for dogs. We barricaded with garden furniture so managed. Upstairs was immaculate, some kitchen items need cleaning and lounge could do with a deep clean, but honestly nothing major. Loved it and would definitely book again.

We absolutely LOVED staying at Tom’s place! What a gorgeous house with so much space, and the layout was great! The house is so cosy and has everything you need. There was a place to pull up outside so you can unload your bags and a parking permit inside to park for free on the Merrivale Carpark 2 mins away. Once we had parked we didn’t actually leave St David’s as it was just perfect for exploring! There are plenty of places to eat just a short walk from Tom’s place, lovely shops and coastal walks. It’s so nice coming back at the end of the day and pouring a glass of wine, cosying up on the sofa and picking a dvd from the collection. We absolutely loved staying here, I just wish we had longer! I’d highly recommend! And we will definitely be back! Thank you so much.
