Canyon Lake vacation rentals

Our family of 11 (adults & children) had an outstanding stay at Fancy Like with above bar communication with hosts Jonathan and Valarie who are dedicated to proving their guests with an excellent experience. Sprawling private off-street property with deer (which our kids loved), very clean home, a kitchen with everything you can need, two refrigerators/freezers (kitchen & laundry room), and a laundry room/playroom combination which provided the kids with lots of entertainment. Everyone loved the shuffleboard, air hockey and foosball tables. The backyard is so beautiful & private. We all loved the pool, hot tub, & waterfall. Jonathan & Valarie are amazing hosts providing lots of information about the area, restaurants, & places to go with the kids. We rented a pontoon boat with slide & captain with their recommended company & loved it. We even had s'mores one night in the outdoor firepit. Stocked up on groceries at HEB in New Braunfels, and then used the local Lowe's Market (less selection/higher prices) for items needed during our week's stay. It was handy having a CVS close by. We discovered the restaurant "Mavens" our first day for lunch (day before the family arrived), returned that night for dinner and to listen to a band and had some of their amazing lemon meringue cheesecake. Loved it so much we took the whole family back the following Friday night to enjoy an outdoor experience of good food, music, with space for the kids to run around. Highly recommend Fancy Like!!

We were 4 couples that booked this home after not finding anything in San Antonio that we thought would work for us. Having never been to Texas we lucked out by looking in the Canyon Lake area, we had no idea what a fantastic spot it was, I can just imagine how busy it is in the tourist season! This home is perfect for a large gathering, we all commented on how it would be an excellent spot for a family reunion. The extremely large living room downstairs was amazing, after a wet day of golf we had all our clubs and bags out to dry and still loads of room! The pictures do not do justice to how big this room really is, tree and all. We enjoyed the use of the hot tub, BBQ and the fire pit, it was a little chilly out, but much warmer than Eastern Canada! We also put the washer and dryer to good use, 2 peoples luggage did not arrive for 3 days, so laundry was much needed. We felt we were treated very well, Terry had looked into wine tour packages for us and sent us info, which unfortunately we ran out of time to do. They also have lots of information on what to do in the area in the home, and we had been sent information in advance for planning. We were there for 6 nights, went into San Antonio for a Spurs game, The Alamo Bowl, and NYE for dinner and to see the lights on the RIverwalk. Along with 4 days of golf we were very busy! The location of the home was fantastic for touring different spots and different golf courses. Shopping was available close by, not too far from San Marcos for a big shopping trip. Best of all were the deer that visited every day. In the early morning there were many on the property, be very careful driving in at night! If we are back in the area we will certainly look at staying here again, I wish we were there right now....

You can not go wrong staying here!!! Don't bother packing ANYTHING kitchen wise (except ice, ice on frig didn't work) There is even a cotton candy machine, shaved ice machine, aluminum foil, grill essentials & paper towels with dishwashing things as well. In the bathrooms just pack your toothbrush! There is body wash, shampoo, conditioner, curling irons & blow dryer! We loved the space but the pool is a little ways away and across the highway! To dock the kayaks is also a difficult process, the golf cart is electric so charge it up and don't go far. Hosts are awesome!! They always got back to me. We rented a boat from canyon lake vacations. Pretty expensive but so worth it!!! We had an amazing time on the lake! The boat comes with a captain. We would highly recommend this home to stay at!!

From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with such warmth that we immediately felt at home. Every little detail of our stay was thoughtfully curated. One of the highlights was their incredible hot tub—the perfect way to unwind after a long day. Sitting under the stars, soaking in the warm water, and just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere was absolutely dreamy. It was clear that Jim and Patty truly wanted us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The crème brûlée was amazing - perfectly creamy, with that satisfying caramelized sugar crunch. It was such a thoughtful and decadent treat that we’ll never forget. They had three wonderful dogs, each one had such a unique personality, and we absolutely adored spending time with them. Whether they were playfully greeting us or just lounging around, they added an extra level of warmth to our stay. It felt like we were visiting old friends rather than just staying in an Airbnb. Jim and Patty are truly exceptional hosts!

Jim and Patty and wicked awesome they went out of there way to make us feel at home. My wife and I had a relaxing time and loved sitting out side and talking to late into the night. Jim is quite the jack of all trades and loves to paint draw musician and many more talents. We stayed 7 days and we got to have Jims famous crème brûlée twice. This guys knows is deserts and you have to try it and if you dont you will be missing out on the pure mind blowing of deliciousness. One of the perks to staying there is they cook breakfast for you every morning. We had a blast hanging out in the pool and hot tub with them. They also give you a free complementary massage for your partner and you. We got to go out to dinner with them and we had great fun and good pizza. They are super close to San Antonio just a hop skip and jump. Their house is beautiful and their three pooches made us laugh they all are super sweet. We arrived as guest and left as family. My family and I spent six nights at this beautiful home. It was perfect for our group and was a central location to all of the wonderful things to do around the Canyon Lake area. The rooms were clean and the grandkids loved the family suite in the back. It gave them their own area to hang out and play games. I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the front porch while watching the deer every morning. Also, they offer catering, grocery shopping and boat rentals. I was able to purchase large trays from them that were ready and waiting for us in the refrigerator when we got there. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to stay here and plan to return.
