Mobile vacation rentals

Very clean and well-maintained home sits on a large lot so there’s lots of peace and quiet! Living room is large and comfortable with 2 ceiling fans that do a nice job of circulating the air. Bedrooms were just the right size and beds were comfortable. It was pretty hot while we were in town; the A/C worked well in the living room but struggled a bit in the corner bedrooms at night. The hosts had already provided a box fan and extra blankets to accommodate the differences in temperature throughout, so we didn’t have any issues keeping the group happy. There is a large TV in the living room as well as a TV in each bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with enough plates and silverware for our group of 5. There are 2 full bathrooms. The one near all the bedrooms has a walk-in shower. The other bathroom is located at the other end of the house (just off the living room) and has a tub/shower combo. Both bathrooms were impeccably clean. The long driveway offers plenty of parking. Great hosts!

We were in town for our daughter's wedding on a one week stay. The Oakleigh District in Mobile is one of the finest Mobile has to offer. The property is as cute as it is comfortable. The layout, furnishings, and decor are simple and inviting. The hosts thought of everything. Our beds were very comfortable; plenty of pillows extra blankets - with a well equipped kitchen and laundry area. Our most memorable experience was access to the backyard where we enjoyed morning coffee and late night unwinds at the fire pit! Perfect if Fido needs to tag along as the yard is large enough for our Standard Poodle to romp and play. We enjoyed our walks to Washington park - with street lined sidewalks shaded by grand Southern Oaks, beautiful historic homes, and delightful neighbors. Only minutes to anything you need - very convenient location. The Hummingbird Oyster House is right around the corner and is fine dining at its best. Yes, we will plan our next trip to Mobile to include this property!

We were driving into Mobile during Tropical Storm Arthur. Asked if we could get in a couple hours early since nothing to do in the torrential rains. Lydia was great to accommodate us. Everything was as described except missing an iron and TV remotes. Immediately provided both. Great response time. It's a lovely renovated historical home. Enjoyed sitting on front porch watching the kids across the street playing with a rooster. Perfect place for the 5 of us traveling from GA and TN for a Family Reunion. Loved the spaciousness, having 3 bathrooms and off street, gated parking for 2 cars. Will definitely stay at Lydia's on our next trip back to Mobile.

After having to leave our original vacation rental due to numerous issues, finding Lydia's Home was an absolute blessing. The difference was night and day. The home was clean, bright, welcoming, and in a much better location for our needs. The hosts responded quickly to my questions while I was scrambling to find another place to stay, and their kindness and communication made a stressful situation so much easier. The house was comfortable, well-maintained, and exactly what we needed during a difficult visit to Mobile to spend time with my father, who is ill. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and are so grateful we found this home. We will absolutely book Lydia's Home again for future visits with my father. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay in Mobile and since we were there for a downtown gathering with events downtown daily, this place was perfect for us! The a/c kept up well-even as we were there on some very hot days! And the ceiling fans in each room kept us all comfortable. Kitchen had salt and pepper, k-cups with little packs of sugar/creamer, some granola bars and snacks and a few cold waters were in the fridge for us. We had 2 cars which fit well- one in the small driveway and the other on the road. It would have been difficult to park more than 2 cars. The backyard is quite tiny, so be aware if your dog or kids need more space to run. The neighborhood seems diverse, but safe and quiet. We enjoyed looking at all the cute houses around us- I can tell that several of these historic houses are being renovated which is really great. Also, bring your own hangers if you need to hang things.

This little historic house has been so tastefully redone. From the fireplace to what looks like original hardwood floors to the cathedral ceiling with gorgeous rustic beams make the place look so much bigger than it actually is. The open concept, decor, furniture, walk in shower are all on point. Did I mention it is dog friendly with a privacy fenced backyard to boot?!? AND a very short (3-5 minute) walk to the heart of downtown Mobile with cozy art shops, cafes, restaurants, breweries, and music! Can’t emphasize enough the primo location this little gem sits in. I’m sure this house has stories to tell, & will now be our go to when visiting family. Well done, Lydia!
