How to Find Your Rentals United Account ID and Connect It to Houfy

Step 1: Get Your Rentals United Account ID

1. Open this link: https://new.rentalsunited.com/My/Services/731136

2. Review the service details.

3. Agree and continue to the next steps.

4. Once completed, your Account ID will be displayed on the screen.

Copy Account ID.

If that link does not open the right service page, search for Houfy in your Rentals United services list instead.

You can also use your Rentals United username instead of the Account ID. It is the email address you sign in to Rentals United with, and you will find it under Users: https://new.rentalsunited.com/My/Users — either value works on the Houfy connection page.

Step 2: Connect Rentals United to Houfy

1. Go to:https://www.houfy.com/p/rentals-united

2. Enter your Rentals United Account ID or username.

3. Sign up or log in to your Houfy account.

4. Complete the connection process.

Before you connect - the API connection fee

Once your listings are connected through Rentals United, guests booking those listings are charged an API connection fee of 5% of the booking subtotal, before tax. It is shown to the guest as its own line in the price breakdown at checkout - it is not deducted from your payout and it is not a commission. It covers what Houfy pays the software partner for the connection.

One thing that surprises hosts: this charge only applies once you have a payment processor connected to Houfy. If you connect Rentals United before you connect Stripe or Square, you will not see the charge at all - and it will start appearing on every one of your connected listings on the day you connect a processor. If you plan to take payments through Houfy, expect the 5% from that day, not from today.

If you would rather not have the charge, you can keep Rentals United and take bookings without a Houfy payment processor, or disconnect the integration.
