What is the "No other iCal/external calendars" setting?
If you only use Houfy to manage your calendar and don't sync with any other platform, enable this setting to let guests know your availability is accurate.

What it is
"No other iCal/external calendars" tells Houfy that your Houfy calendar is the only place you manage this listing's availability. When it is set to Yes, Houfy stops showing the warning "Caution: This listing might have outdated availability and/or pricing" on your listing page.
Before you change it, check whether you have the warning at all. It only appears when Houfy has no sign that your calendar is being kept current. An imported iCal feed, a connected channel manager, an upcoming reservation or any blocked date already clears it, so most hosts never see it and do not need this setting.
How to turn it on
Go to Menu, then Manage Listings, and open the listing's Calendar.
Click Settings in the calendar toolbar - the gear icon on the right.
Open the Advanced tab.
Click Edit in the top right of the settings panel. This step is easy to miss: until you click it every setting is read-only, and the Yes/No buttons will not respond.
Find "No other iCal/external calendars" under Calendar settings and click Yes. It saves as soon as you click - there is no separate Save button. Click Done when you have finished.
Who should turn it on
Turn it on if you do not sync this listing's calendar with any other platform by iCal, you manage availability and pricing only on Houfy, and your Houfy calendar is up to date.
If you start using another platform later
Either set it back to No, or import that platform's calendar into Houfy by iCal so your availability stays accurate on both. Importing a calendar clears the warning on its own, so you do not need this setting once you have done that.
