How to Synchronize Your Houfy Calendar with Other Platforms
Houfy syncs with Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com and other platforms using the iCal format, so the same dates stay blocked everywhere and you avoid double bookings.
📤 Export your Houfy calendar
Go to Manage Listings and open the listing.
Click Calendar.
Click Export in the calendar toolbar.
Stay on the Houfy Reservations tab. It exports only the bookings made on Houfy, which is what other platforms should import.
Click Copy URL.
On the other platform (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com), paste the URL into their calendar import field.
Do not give another platform the URL from the Master Calendar tab. That feed also contains the reservations Houfy imported from those same platforms, so importing it back makes a platform re-import its own bookings and double-block the dates.
📥 Import an external calendar into Houfy
On the same Calendar page, click Import in the toolbar.
Paste the platform's iCal URL into the iCal URL field.
Give it a name under Calendar Name (optional), for example "Airbnb".
Pick a Calendar Color so its bookings are easy to spot on your calendar.
Under Import Options, choose:
Everything - brings in reservations AND blocked dates. Choose this if you block dates manually on the other platform.
Only Reservations - brings in bookings only, and ignores blocked dates.
Click Import Calendar.
🔄 How often do calendars sync?
Houfy re-fetches every imported calendar automatically, roughly every couple of hours. If you need an update right now, open Import > Synced and click the refresh (Sync now) icon next to that calendar.
