Houfy could not import my calendar link

There are two different messages and they mean different things:

• "This calendar link is not a valid iCal feed and has been removed." The link is not an iCal feed - usually a page address copied out of the browser bar rather than an export link. Houfy removes the feed when this happens, so you need to add the correct link again. Every large marketplace publishes a proper export link ending in .ics, and it is not the address you see while looking at your calendar.

• "Couldn't reach the calendar right now - please try again in a moment." Your link is fine; we simply could not fetch it that time. The feed is kept and we try again automatically. This is by far the more common of the two, so if you see this message do not re-copy or re-add your link - leave it alone and it will sync.

I'm blocking dates on VRBO but they do not show on Houfy?

Check the import mode on that calendar. If it is set to Reservations Only, dates you blocked by hand on VRBO will not appear on Houfy however well the sync is working — set it to Everything instead. If it is already Everything, make sure the VRBO calendar really is imported into Houfy.

I added a reservation on Houfy ("Add Booking") but it doesn't show on Airbnb?

Did you import Houfy into Airbnb? Please make sure you did. Airbnb can not get any data from Houfy if you did not import the Houfy calendar into Airbnb.

What does the little sync button do?

The little sync button fetches data from the linked website. As far as I know, only Houfy, Airbnb and Tripadvisor have this. Once you have synced your calendars correctly, you should be all set!

How do I delete a calendar from Houfy?

1. Log into Houfy.

2. Click your profile picture in the top right of Houfy.

3. Manage Listings.

4. Select the property and open its Calendar.

5. Click Import, then open the Synced tab.

6. Find the feed you want to remove and delete it there.

The calendar grid itself does not open a feed - imported calendars are managed under Import > Synced.
