How to add extra fields to the rental agreement?
Two different things: merge variables that Houfy fills in for you, like guest name and dates, and Input field sections the guest types into. Add either from Add section in the rental agreement editor.

There are two different things people mean by extra fields - pick the one you want.
A. Text that Houfy fills in for you (merge variables)
Use this when you want the agreement to show details Houfy already holds: the guest name, the dates, your house rules.
Open the agreement editor: click the plus button in the top bar, choose Rental agreement, then click the card for your listing.
Click Add section, choose Text under TEXT, and click Add.
Type your wording into the text section and drop variables in where the value should appear, for example - Guest name: {{guest_first_name}} {{guest_last_name}}
The full list of variables sits in a row just above the agreement preview. Click any one to copy it, then paste it into your text.
The variables available are: {{guest_first_name}}, {{guest_last_name}}, {{today_date}}, {{check_in_date}}, {{check_out_date}}, {{check_in_time}}, {{check_out_time}}, {{number_of_guests}}, {{number_of_nights}}, {{check_in_information}}, {{reservation_code}}, {{primary_host_first_name}}, {{primary_host_last_name}}, {{guest_manual}}, {{guest_interaction}}, {{house_rules}}, {{payment_policy_text}}, {{cancel_policy_text}} and {{notes}}.
B. A blank the guest has to complete
Use this when you want the guest to type something - a vehicle registration, a flight number, an arrival date.
In the agreement editor, click Add section.
Under OTHERS choose Input field for a box the guest types into, or Current date for a date they pick. Click Add.
Click the new section and use Rename section to label it with whatever you are asking for.
Merge variables cannot do this - they are replaced with your own data before the guest ever sees the agreement.
