Blanco County vacation rentals

We all loved the place - it was nice, private and generally clean; Dripping is great; and lots of activities are within a stone's throw. We found Josh very responsive. Only issue was that, in spite of discussing over messages at booking that we wanted a working hot tub, the hot tub was barely functional. It heated up a couple of times but after 2+ hours of heating in some cases (which required going out to reset the clock every hour). Josh was responsive but insisted the lead-time was the issue. By the last day, the hot tub stopped working - Josh came by noticeably peeved that he had to. We reached out yesterday asking for some kind of compensation from the owners and never heard back. We were pleased with our stay but given the season and the premium paid for the pool and hot tub, it was disappointing that no diagnostic was done before we went in to make sure the hot tub was working and more than one communication regarding the situation wasn't followed up with an immediate request for a specialist to come and check the situation out as it exacerbated. Second, it felt a bit stingy not to have extra toilet paper and some other basic kitchen supplies (although lack of certain items like a fully filled propane tank was disclosed, so this was not a transparency issue) - not costly and goes a long way to add basics. You could have boxes of them in the pantry for restocking after each reservation. Last, we got locked out at one point after the gate closed before we returned home late at night- I understand this property is a magnet for bachelor/bachelorette parties and the gate may be a crowd control tool in a bind but Josh, who was responsive, didn't immediately share the gate code when we called fairly upset, but then sent it to us over the text. There should be some differentiation based on reservation types around managing risks. We were pretty furious to be stuck outside wondering if we'll have to leave the car out or climb the fence to find a solution.

My partner and I were looking for a spot to host our family for a few days and have a small wedding ceremony and reception- we wanted all our people and the events to be in one place. This ended up being the perfect location, and we were so pleased with how everything went! Communication with the property manager was easy, quick, and they were so helpful in helping us to create the experience we wanted. The home and event venue were spacious enough for our group to be comfortable and have fun together! I can't say enough good things about our experience. We had a great time, and I hope this home is still available in the years to come, so we can do it all over again!

The Starlight is a beautiful location with great amenities. We never had to leave. Plenty to do for everyone. The beds are super comfy! Pooja was amazing and super communicative!

Our family totaled 9 people including a 3 and 6 year old. It was easy to find the property and using a door code we were in! We were able to fit 2 vans inside the garage which was great for loading and unloading. Everyone commented and agreed the property looked great/cool (for our visiting millennial kids) and was very clean. The beds and linens were super comfortable and so soft and white. The layout was great with bedrooms separated into different quadrant locations for some degree of privacy among the guests. The kitchen was well stocked although we did bring our own utensils and spices. Furniture was comfortable (ooh that leather sofa) for all of us to watch a movie one night and for everyone to comfortably eat our breakfast every morning. Our daughter and family did take advantage of the pool hot tub. The only caveat is there is no fence around the pool as plainly shown in the photos. My daughter is an ER pediatrician and came prepared with removable door alarms.

It was a beautiful peaceful place to stay. Everyone had room to spread out. Would want to stay here again when in this area. I highly recommend it. They have so many things to entertain you while you are there. The only thing I would recommend, is not to use Waze for directions. It puts you in the vicinity, but was inaccessible and took an extra 20 minutes to go around. Stick to goggle maps. Other than that, it was a great place to relax. Felt like home!! WE spent 2 nights inthis beautiful 3-bedroom condo right on the Lake Front of Lake LBJ. Another couple was with us and we ALL couldn't believe all the wonderful features and amenities that were available. Both bathrooms had small bottles of quality shampoo and conditioner, cotton balls and other luxuries that were also available for use. Plush and soft white bathrobes were there, in case we also needed them. Many of these extra features of this condo are seldom seen at other condos we have stayed. Phone Charging ports at every table, careful thought put into every detail. Lovely led candles for Ambiance, several DVD movies, board and card games. TVs in all rooms The amenities didn't stop at the bathrooms. There were plenty of chilled water bottles, coffees and candy in the kitchen with all the latest appliances that we would need to use to make our stay more welcoming. We had luxurious bedding in all the bedrooms that made our sleep time so relaxing. SO many places leave very little towels. NOT THIS PLACE. They leave you plenty even hair turbans, special make up face cloths and head bands. All the furniture was comfortable and new and each bedroom had a small desk and chair that were all prepped and ready for our computers, we can't seem to live without them. Art work were beautiful throughout the condo and were a far cry from those dull, cardboard prints we have seen in other places. We were really spoiled and felt that were appreciated guests of honor. Thank you for providing such a wonderful, relaxing getaway. Are we going to return, you betcha!!

Stayed here for two nights in late September. Tents were clean and well equipped - facilities as good as in a hotel room with the exception of the AC. However, we found that whilst the tent heated up during the day, we were away from 11am to around 7pm and so it didn’t impact us. When we got back at 7pm the tent had cooled down and was perfectly fine by the time we went to bed without the need to use the AC. (Temps during our stay: high 92 low 59.) Enjoyed two nights sat next to the campfire making s’mores. Great to meet other glampers. You can hear traffic on the 290, but it’s not as bad as you think from some reviews. We’ll be back.

From the moment we arrived, there was a sense that this place is doing something special. The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed, with just the right balance of comfort and being connected to the outdoors. The accommodations were clean, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It’s clear a lot of care goes into both the guest experience and the overall atmosphere of the property. What really elevated the experience, though, was the team on site. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming, genuine, and clearly took pride in what they’re building there. It never felt transactional—more like being welcomed in, which goes a long way. One of the highlights was simply slowing down—enjoying the surroundings, the wine, and the quiet. It’s the kind of place that invites you to be present, which is rare and appreciated. We’ll absolutely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable Hill Country experience.
