After the concert gather at the Hokitika I-site to watch the Light The Tree ceremony. The huge Hokitika community Christmas lights will be switched on for the 1st time. Fun for the whole family.
The Hokitika Christmas Parade will now be held in the evening to make the most of the new Christmas lights and provide a bit of atmosphere and excitement for the young ones.
This annual event is sponsored by the local Lions Club and various local businesses. There are always plenty of amazing floats and vintage vehicles as well as local children's groups.
Of course a visit from Santa too!

A fun annual event on the beach to celebrate Christmas. Features food, family fun, games and live music. The big bearded fella Santa will call in for a lolly scramble and some photos too.
