So you are coming to travel the South Island of New Zealand and the West Coast is on your itinerary. Congratulations on making a great decision! Now you need to figure out where to stay. We can offer you a choice of places to suit your needs depending on your interests, group size and budget. Which ever option you choose, we promise you that it will be a lot more fun and memorable than a boring old motel room.
How about staying on a real NZ farm? At Blue Spur Farmstay you can stay in our farmhouse that is completely off-grid! It runs completely on solar power. At this eco-farm, all water is collected from rain water on the roof. We grow our own vegetables, have our own beehives and farm sheep, cows and poultry.
Here on the farm you can walk into the paddocks and feed the sheep, meet the cows and pigs and pet the goats. Everyone is welcome here!

If you are feeling more adventurous, how about a glamping experience in our off-grid tiny hut? Our Gold Nugget Hut is an upcycled tiny cabin located in a stunning part of the farm overlooking the paddocks, surrounded by native bush with views out to the Tasman Sea. A beautiful, romantic setting for two people.
